Free Leica Urban Nature Walk
Discover the world of Urban Birding with Harry Read on Friday 27th September sponsored by Leica and hosted by Clifton Cameras. This FREE event will introduce you into the fascinating world of Urban Birding with award-winning nature photographer and qualified zoologist Harry Read.

Meet Harry Read
Harry has 10 years of experience as a guide and has travelled far and wide to observe and capture nature’s perfect intricacies. He regularly leads nature walks in the UK and specialises in ornithology. He leads nature photography workshops in Finland, and moved to Sweden’s Arctic Circle for 2 years, teaching people how to photograph the Aurora Borealis. Harry is an all-round naturalist and combines his passion for all things wild with photography, attempting to capture nature’s perfect intricacies.
Urban Birding Experience
The day will start at Clifton Cameras's store located in Staverton Technology Park before attendees are transported to Cheltenham to start their urban birding experience. Each session will last around 2 hours before returning to the store. There will be a wide range of binoculars available to try, provided by Leica, as well as expert advice throughout the day.
Event Schedule
There are two sessions available for the Urban Nature Walk, one in the morning which starts at 10:30 and one in the afternoon which starts at 14:00. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before to allow plenty of time for the nature walk. Book your place on this event via the form below.
Morning Urban Nature Walk
10:30-13:00: Morning Urban Nature Walk with Harry Read. Please arrive by 10:15 to allow plenty of time for the nature walk.
Afternoon Urban Nature Walk
14:00-16:30: Afternoon Urban Nature Walk with Harry Read. Please arrive by 13:45 to allow plenty of time for the nature walk.

Absolutely! Simply book your slot to join us on the nature walk.
Can I bring my own equipment?
There will be a range of Leica optics available for you to try out on the day. But you are free to bring along your own binoculars if you would like to compare them to our Leica range.
