Forest of Dean Birding Walk with Zeiss

Forest of Dean Birding Walks, with Zeiss

Monday, 28th April

Get out in nature with Zeiss – back for a 3rd year!

Back for a third year running, our popular Birding Walks with wildlife expert and Zeiss representative, Toby Carter are always a great success. By late April, most of our avian summer visitors will have arrived back to their breeding grounds in the Forest of Dean, offering the chance for some incredible sights and to hear their lively bird song.

Event Highlights

See the forest through Zeiss

Toby Carter is a well-known wildlife expert having been a part of multiple projects both in the UK and abroad. He will be bringing a host of Zeiss binoculars, spotting scopes and thermal monoculars for you to see how to get the most of out these optics. He will join us on the entire walk so there will be plenty of time to ask questions and try out different gear.

Get your money back with exclusive offers

Join us on this walk to enjoy exclusive offers on any of the gear you try – you won't find these deals online! Plus, any purchase of Zeiss optics made within 14 days of the walk will include a full refund of your ticket price.

What might you see?

On last year's walk, we saw some iconic Forest of Dean species such as Goshawk, Firecrest, Redstart and Raven. We also encountered various warbler species plus heathland specialists such as Tree Pipit and Stonechat and enjoyed stunning views of Crossbills throughout the day.

Apart from the birds, we also saw Wild Boar, Common Lizard and Green Tiger Beetles, so whilst we cannot guarantee what we'll see, there will be plenty for any nature enthusiast to enjoy! Watch a Crossbill we saw on last year's walk captured by digiscoping on a Zeiss spotting scope!
