Excellent Sound Quality
Connect the XLR Adaptor Kit to any compatible camera that has a built-in digital audio interface to transfer audio signals directly from recorder to camera, vastly reducing potential degradation in the sound quality. This adaptor also works with cameras using an analogue interface via a simple switch of a button.
Versatile Connectivity
Featuring two XLR/TRS combo jacks and one 3.5mm stereo mini microphone jack, the XLR-K3M is highly versatile in its functions. The XLR/TRS combo jacks are also switchable for line input or microphone input either with or without 48V phantom power.
Setup How You Need It
The XLR-K3M is highly adaptable to be set up in a variety of ways. Use with professional rigs and camera cages to best suit your needs. Provided with the adaptor are audio extension cables which will allow for the adaptor to be rigged and adjusted in whichever setup you require.
Cable and Battery-Free
No extra wires, cables or batteries are required with the XLR-K3M adaptor. Simply clip the adaptor into the Multi-Interface Shoe on a compatible camera for direct power from camera to adaptor. Sony’s Multi-Interface Shoe also offers intelligent connectivity and control for a variety of other accessories, providing maximum flexibility whilst shooting.
Advanced Mechanical Noise Suppression
Enjoy greatly suppressed low-frequency handling noise thanks to the advanced shock and vibration suppressing design. Mechanical noises can degrade audio quality, which is why Sony has worked to reduce this as much as possible including cable-free connections to further reduce any handling noises whilst recording.
Comprehensive Control
The adaptor kit has a comprehensive control panel to improve on-site recording and improve post-processing workflow. Controls that are provided include record level (AUTO/MANUAL), record level link (INPUT 1 – INPUT 2), attenuator, and low-cut filter (100/300 Hz).
Super-directional Shotgun Mic Included
Included in this kit are the super-directional monaural microphone (ECM-XM1) and a wind noise-reducing fur-type windscreen.

What cameras is this compatible with?
It is compatible with the vast majority of Sony cameras. Cameras with full compatibility include the A1, A9mkii, A7Smkiii, 7Rmkiv, 7RmkivA and the A7c. Other cameras will simply require the Digital/Analog switch set to Analog for the adaptor to be compatible.
