Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9 Sony FE Lens
Samyang has released a new Cine Lens for the Sony FE mount system. The Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9 Lens has been designed to be compact and lightweight while still producing the expert quality that Samyang has come to be known for in their Cine Lenses.
Also available are the 35mm and the 75mm V-AF lenses.
Unified Form Factor
Samyang has created their line of Sony FE Cine Lenses with a unified weight distribution, each lens has the same approximate centre of gravity when connected to your Sony Cine Camera. Making them perfect for use with gimbals or drones reduces the need to recalibrate your stabilising system to account for the change in lens weight. Allowing you to swap back and forth between lenses as much or as little as you want. Each lens will measure just 73 x 70mm and weigh less than 300g.
8K Video Ready
The Samyang 24mm T1.9 lens has been designed to support resolutions of up to 8K, with no compromising on quality when filming in high resolution you can capture footage matching the resolution of your Sony Cine camera with no issues. This compact lens is perfect for studio and location-based production, its size and weight make it brilliant for use with a gimbal for a run-and-gun experience.
Colour Matched
Create consistency when using Samyangs V-AF lenses. All V-AF lenses are colour-matched when they are constructed, avoiding shifts in quality and colour between lenses ensures consistency across all of your footage when using different lenses.
Tally Lamp
Another useful feature of the V-AF series is the tally lamp which is located on the front and mount index. This allows the user to check whether the video is recording or not while shooting and is particularly helpful when filming in cramped areas.
Custom Switch & Button
Customise your lens to suit your shooting style, the lens features a 'Focus save' function, which is usually found on professional cine lenses, along with a custom mode that allows you to add extra functions via firmware updates.

What cameras is this lens compatible with?
The Samyang V-AF 24mm T1.9 Sony FE Lens is compatible with any camera with a FE Mount. It's 8K resolution compatibility makes it particularly well suited to cameras such as the Sony a1 and the Sony FX3.
What is the V-AF Series?
The V-AF Series is a new lens family introduced by Samyang to cater for Sony E-Mount full-frame cameras. These lenses are designed specifically for video creators who value image quality and convenient film creation. The lenses all have a unified form factor, are compact & lightweight, support up to 8K resolution and are colour matched. These features work together to create excellent continuity across the board and ensure that as you switch out lenses, your workflow remains optimised.
What lenses are available in the Samyang V-AF range?
There will be a total of 5 lenses available before the end of 2023. The 35mm T1.9, 75mm T1.9 and 24mm T1.9 versions are available now with the 20mm & 45mm versions being released sometime in 2023.
