Design and Build
The S range from LUMIX has been designed to have a robust dust and splash resistance so you have peace of mind to use the lens in almost any environment. The zoom ring has a firm feel with a precise twist function, so you can ensure you’re reaching the exact focal length you desire.
The focus ring is positioned to the end of the lens and has an easier twist so you can manage a precise configuration with just your fingertips. Very handy if you have the lens at 300mm and want to adjust your manual focus.
Weighing in at 790g (without the lens cap and hood), the lens is incredibly portable when mounted to the lightweight and compact mirrorless camera systems such as the Panasonic LUMIX S5 II and S5 II X.
Performance and Technology
17 elements in 11 groups help to prevent aspherical and distortion aberration whilst keeping the lens lightweight and compact.
Optical image stabilisation allows up to 5.5 stops compensation when used in conjunction with the camera IBIS. Allowing you to produce crisp and shake-free images even when at the furthest focal length of 300mm. The super-quick autofocus system is near-silent which is incredibly useful for wildlife and bird photographers.
An 11 blade diaphragm means the lens can be used for more than sports and wildlife photography. This design can produce incredibly sharp subjects with beautifully soft bokeh so users can capture exquisite portrait or general candid photography.

Compatible with the 1.4x and 2.0x extenders, you can increase the lens’ reach to 600mm without a loss in quality.
A minimum focus distance of 0.5m at 70mm allows you to get closer to your subject and also provides a maximum magnification of 0.5x at 300mm.
Video Capability
