Kondor Blue are expert in the realm of professional camera cages. The Canon R5/R6/R cage is no exception. Constructed of four plates that can be easily assembled and screwed together, the Kondo Blue Canon R-series cage has been designed to provide all-over protection and support for your R series camera body like the R5 or R6 II.
Arca Swiss Quick Release System
Simply attach your Canon R series camera body to the cage via the Arca Swiss plate. Attach the plate to the bottom of your camera body for a quick realise from the Cage. This allows you to switch the camera out quickly onto a tripod system that supports an Arca Swiss plate. For added security, the top plate has been created with a cold shoe bubble screw, which can be removed from the top plate and attached to the top of your camera body. Simply tighten the bubble screw in place when the camera body is placed in the cage. This allows for two points of secure contact between your camera and the Kondor Blue Canon cage.
Built-in NATO rails
The Kondor Blue Canon R series cage has two built-in NATO rails. One on the top and one on the side of the cage. This is to allow you to re-orientate accessories like a top handle to suit your preferred orientation.
Comfortable Ergonomically Design
The cage itself has been designed to feel comfortable in your hands. While the use of a top handle can provide added manoeuvrability the cage itself has been created for handheld use. The cage has been designed to protect the camera from the most common drop angles.
Perfectly balanced for effortless manoeuvrability
The weight of the cage is heavenly distributed across the camera body, allowing for effortless manoeuvrability. The addition of a Top Handle (sold separately) can allow for more hand-held manoeuvrability. The Handel itself will sit just off centre to the camera body, this is to allow for better balance when a lens is attached to the camera as the centre of gravity will be pulled more towards the camera lens.
ARRI Standard Accessory Mounts
The Canon R series cage has been created with ARRI standard accessory mounts with locating pins on every side of the cage. The ARRI locator pins allow you to attach anti-twist accessories to your cage.
HDMI & USB C Cable Clamp
Kondor has designed this cage to accommodate professional videographers, with the addition of a cable clamp that can help to prevent damaging the micro-sized ports on the camera. Allowing you to make use of an external monitor to view your footage without damaging your HDMI port.
Over 70 Threaded holes
Having a high level of flexibility with how you want to attach accessories to your cage is one of the highest priorities when building your own rig. The Kondor Blue Canon R cage provided you with a mixture of 1/ 4” and 3/ 8” thread holes, allowing you plenty of space available to arrange your rig to perfectly suit you.
