Kondor Blue Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K 6K Base Rig
The Kondor Blue Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera rig has been expertly designed and optimised for use with the Blackmagic Pocket cinema camera 4K and 6k. This four-sided cage provided multiple easy mounting points for your Blackmagic rig, while also providing overall protection and easy manoeuvrability.
Easy access
The cage itself has been carefully designed to provide all the support you need for your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera while also not preventing you from accessing any of the required buttons or dials of the camera body itself. For example, the top section of the cage has a windowed design, allowing you to access your Blackmagic camera buttons and ports.
Dynamic features
This base rig cage features a number of useful elements including a bubble leveller, cold shoe mounts, nato rails and a 15mm rod holder. All these features allow you to begin to pull together the key components you require to build your own rig.
Built-in bubble level
The top plate contains a bubble level, letting you check that your rig and camera are completely level while filming and allowing you to get perfectly composed shots.
Top Handle
The Kondor Blue Blackmagic base rig contains a top handle with the full cage set-up. This top handle provided multiple mounting points including a second shoe mount, multiple ARRI accessory mounts and a 15mm rod port.
Flexible mounting
The bottom of the cage has been designed with multiple mounting points, this allows you to mount your Blackmagic camera off centre when using a tripod or a gimbal. This can be very useful, as the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras boast a unique body shape which can interfere with some gimbals due to the weight distribution.
Multiple threads holes
There are a number of threaded holes throughout the body of the cage, with 20 1/ 4” and 16 3/ 8” threaded holes, This provides multiple mounting points for accessories as well as flexible mounting options on tripods and gimbals.
ARRI/501 Baseplate
The Kondor Blue Blackmagic base rig comes with the ARRI/501 baseplate. This base plate has a universal design and is capable of supporting 15mm LWS rods. The industry-standard dovetail connection and 15mm, rod capacity makes it easy to mount the camera from one setup to another.
Side load camera plate system
The base plate has been created with a side load camera plate system, making it easier to mount the camera from the top rather than sliding it in from the front.
Standard camera plate
The baseplate comes with a Manfrotto 501-standard camera plate, as an industry-standard mounting plate this can allow you to quickly swap out your camera onto different gimbals or tripod setups, with minimal fuss.
15MM PPSh Rods
Included in the base rig are 2 15mm 8” PPSh barrel design rods. These lightweight rods have been constructed with durable aerospace-grade aluminium and can be used for accessories such as servo motors, follow focus or added lens support for larger lenses.
