BLACKMAGIC Pocket Cinema Camera 4K

For the professional Filmmaker
The Pocket Cinema Camera 4K has been designed with the professional in mind. The camera boasts a 4K sensor along with a Micro Four Thirds lens mount and boasts 13 stops of dynamic range to assist in low light situations. This is further enhanced by a dual native ISO range of 400 to 25,600.
The camera also features a 5” LCD screen as well as a mini XLR audio input so that you can record with a professional microphone for the best audio possible.
The 4K is capable of shooting up to 60fps in full-resolution and up to 120fps when it is windowed and can take still images up to 8MPs.
Total control at your fingertips
The 4K gives you total control over filming thanks to its multifunctional handgrip and easy-access controls on the top and rear of the camera.
The ergonomic handgrip features controls such as ISO, White Balance (WB), shutter speed and a scroll wheel for quick iris adjustments as well as recording and stills buttons.
The rear panel gives you access to buttons that you can assign functions like high-frame-rate, focus zoom, false colour and more.
You can also access all of the settings quickly and easily via the large LCD touchscreen.
Multiple data recording
The 4K comes equipped with both CFast and SD UHS-II card recorders as well as a USB-C expansion port, so that you can record directly to an external hard drive like the GNARBOX 2.0 SSD, allowing you to record 4K when using Blackmagic RAW.
The high-speed USB-C expansion port offers transfer speeds of up to 5 GB/s. This gives you the option to record to large storage devices so that you can shoot at 4K, 12-bit Blackmagic RAW for longer periods without having to worry about running out of storage space. It also means that you can plug the external disk directly into your computer and start editing/colour correcting from the same disk so that you don’t have to worry about transferring files.
Professional connections
The 4K features a multitude of connections for the professional filmmakers needs ranging from audio to monitoring to power and more. There is a full-size HDMI connector so that you can monitor your footage and this offers support for HDR and clean 10-bit output.
The camera features a mini XLR connection with 48-volt phantom power. This allows you to connect a professional microphone so that you can get the best audio possible.
You also have the option to use the 4 built-in mics. These offer an extremely low noise floor and are shock and wind-resistant.
There is also a 3.5mm input that can be used for another microphone as well as a headphone connection and a USB-C connection that allows you to connect and record directly to an external hard drive.
Stunning colours
The 4K sensor produces stunning image quality, accurate skin tones and faithful colour reproduction. This is thanks to the same generation, 5 colour science that is featured in the URSA Mini Pro 12K. You get a new dynamic 12-bit gamma curve designed to capture more colour data in the highlights and shadows, for better-looking images.
Custom 3D LUTS
The camera preserves dynamic range by shooting in a logarithmic colour space. This is fantastic for post-production but not so good when you want to monitor the footage live. This can be resolved quite simply by using 3D LUT’s. These can be applied to the monitor to give you an idea of how the footage will look after processing. You can also record them into the Blackmagic RAW file so that you can use them in post-production.
The 4K features built-in LUTs such as Extended Video, Film to Video, Film to REC.2020 and works with industry-standard 17 and 33 point 3D LUT files.
Timecode Generator
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a built-in timecode generator so that you can shoot with multiple cameras while keeping perfect sync. You would need to plug an external timecode generator into the 3.5mm audio jack to do this. The camera will then automatically detect the timecode and lock the internal generator. You can then stop and start each camera and they will all have the exact same timecode.
Davinci Resolve Studio* will automatically find and sync the shots from all of the cameras so that you don’t need to spend hours doing it manually.

Control wirelessly
You can control the camera when it is mounted on a boom pole, or other hard to reach locations via Bluetooth. Simply download the Blackmagic Camera Control app onto your Apple or Android device so that you can control your camera from a distance.
Davinci Resolve Studio
The 4K comes with an activation code for a full version of Davinci Resolve Studio. This is a professional video editing software that is used by many in Hollywood to edit high-end feature films, television shows, commercials and more.

The 4K can take high-res still images of up to 8MP and are saved as fully uncompressed DNG frames for maximum image quality.
