Canon EOS R5 C Camera Body
The Canon R5 C is a hybrid camera for professional filmmakers and photographers alike. Capture stunning video footage at up to 8K/30P (60P with external power) or 4K UHD at up to 120fps as well as 45MP images at up to 20fps.
The C stands for Cine
The R5 C has been designed with the professional cinematographer in mind. The camera is capable of capturing 8K video at up to 30P, though this can be boosted up to 60P when using an external power supply. All of this can be captured internally to a CFexpress card in a variety of recording formats including 3 Cinema RAW Light* options as well as XF-AVC and MP4 plus Canon Log 3 as well as PQ / HLG and ProRes RAW output via HDMI.
The camera also boasts an impressive range of 4K recording options. You can shoot in 4K DCI full-frame and 4K UHD at up to 120fps in 4:2:2/10-bit. Audio and auto-focus is available for these settings as well giving you a wide variety of shooting options to enhance your creativity.
*12-bit Cinema RAW Light options up to 2.6 Gbps
Redesigned active internal cooling system
The camera features a redesigned version of the internal cooling system that was used in the Canon R5. It has been engineered to expel built-up heat via a built-in fan and exhaust which is housed at the rear of the camera. Because of this redesign, you will be able to record footage at 8K for longer filming times without the risk of overheating.
45MP Sensor
The R5 C is far more than just a cine camera. The camera comes equipped with a 45MP, full-frame sensor and DIGIC X Image Processor that is capable of 45-megapixel images at up to 20fps. You can capture stunningly detailed images with low-noise and wide dynamic range thanks to the ISO range of 100-51200. This can be expanded to 50-102400.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology
Another feature of the R5 C is its Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology that ensures your subject always remains sharp. The Eye AF and EOS iTR AF X allows for precise face, head and eye-tracking. This feature even works when the subject has turned away from the camera.
Combine these features with the camera’s ability to shoot at 20fps and you are assured to always get pin-sharp images/video.
Lens compatibility
The R5 C features an RF mount making it compatible with all Canon RF lenses such as the RF 24-70mm f2.8 L IS USM or RF 5.2mm F2.8L DUAL FISHEYE.
You can also continue using Canon’s extensive range of EF mount lenses when using the Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (sold separately).

The camera allows for a range of connectivity options including Wi-Fi4*, Bluetooth and a multi-function accessory shoe.**
Also featured on the camera are dedicated terminals for a 3.5mm microphone, headphones, micro-HDMI, flash sync, USB-C and timecode.
* Internal Wi-Fi only works in Stills mode. WFT-R10B accessory (sold separately) required to access network functionality in Video Mode.
