Zeiss DTI Thermal Imaging Camera
Birdwatching at dawn and dusk can be a real pleasure. However, the falling light can pose its own number of challenges for viewing these creatures. The Zeiss DTI Thermal Imaging Camera, with its unique ergonomic design, specifically allows you to view and capture images of animals out in the wild during these periods.
High Resolution in Low Light
The DTI Thermal Imaging Camera makes full use of Zeiss’ long-standing history of excellent quality optics. View nocturnal creatures such as owls with ease thanks to the high-resolution HD LCOS display.
Advanced features such as Contrast Enhancement allow for easy viewing even in foggy and high-humidity conditions. Such conditions degrade contrast in other cameras, however, activating Contrast Enhancement quickly eliminates this issue.
Ergonomic Design
The DTI is the perfect shape for innovative one-handed operation. The oval design is wider at the edges rather than the top and bottom (which is a design favoured by other thermal imaging cameras) this distinction is optimised for both left-handed and right-handed users. Designing the camera this way also creates a more natural posture for the hand which in turn allows for long and fatigue-free observation.
Zeiss developed the ErgoControl operating concept to remove any potential distractions caused by poor button placement. The intelligent positioning of this camera ensures that each function can be intuitively controlled even when wearing gloves.
Thermal Imaging at its Best
Make the most of top-quality thermal imaging. The Zeiss DTI works up to 1235 metres which is an impressive range ideal for a diverse collection of landscapes including fields, marshlands and woods.
Multiple Viewing Modes
4 Colour Modes – “Black Hot” and “White Hot” deliver images with high levels of contrast and are excellent for identification. “Red Hot” allows for fast detection of heat signatures. “Rainbow” separates the smallest details in temperature.
High Frame Rate – View through a high frame rate of 50 Hz per second to reduce image flicker and eye strain.
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) – Overlays a second zoomed-in image for improved identification.
Hot Tracking – Frames the warmest source in the image with a red square. Useful for location in densely overgrown areas.
Enhanced Camouflage – Switches off the LED indicator for enhanced camouflage in the dark and saves battery.
Extensive Battery Life
The Zeiss DTI Thermal Imaging Camera has an impressively long battery life of 10 hours, ensuring that no matter how long your stake out, you will be able to use this camera. It also eliminates the need for additional battery packs or charging ports when out in the wild.
Precision Zoom
Magnifying in 0.5x increments, up to 4x magnification, allows for fine and gradual zoom adjustments. These small increments create the perfect combination of magnification and detail recognition. Being able to zoom easily but gradually ensures that you do not miss your target.
Comfort and Efficiency
The flexible eye cup is designed for maximum comfort and viewing. The cup comfortably fits around the eye and an ensures excellent viewing experience for glasses and non-glasses users.
The Zeiss DTI also comes with a carrying strap which fixes at two points on the camera, much the same as a pair of binoculars. This is handy for quick access to the camera and also means that you can easily switch between the camera and binoculars or a scope.
