What’s New on the brand new GoPro Hero 8?
The GoPro Hero 8 will feature the brand new GP2 processor, which will allow users to experience new and exciting ways to create their content. Because of the new processor, you will now be able to produce 4K video at 120fps, 1080 full HD Video at 480fps.
The GoPro action cam is also getting an increase pixel range of 12mp, so photographers can get even more detailed images. The Hero 8 will also have a built-in mounting plate on the underside of its body, which means you don’t have to use a housing accessory.
The Power to Record
You will find the same 1,220mAh battery unit that we have seen and used in the GoPro Hero 7. But this doesn’t mean that the battery life will be the same. Thanks to the new GP2 processor, you should expect around 45minute battery life when you are recording 4K video at 60fps, which for the size of the camera and battery, really is not bad at all.
Time to Accessorize
Thanks to this new mount design, you will now have the option to add a housing accessory, or rather, an accessory housing. The Hero 8 will come with an accessory attaching housing, to allow you to attach brand new accessories, such as the new GoPro Light Mod.
You will also be able to attach accessories such as the new and improved protective housing, plus the new GoPro Floaty.

With the new 12mp imaging sensor and 4K video, the Hero 8 Action Cam has a huge range of shooting modes to suit any of life's adventures. You will have 1080p Live streaming capabilities whilst in use of the GoPro Hero App, 8x Slo-Mo (In Full HD), be able to shoot in RAW or SuperPhoto + HDR mode as well as Live Burst Mode.
The Hero 8 also has a new feature called TimeWarp2.0 which is HyperSmooth applied to TimeLapse Video. It allows you to Capture super stabilized time-lapse videos while you move about a scene. Increase the speed up to 30x to turn longer activities into shareable moments.
As standard the GoPro Hero 8 is also waterproof up to 10m without any extra housing required. Making this the perfect camera for in the pool or holiday shots with the family.
