The 6” aperture combined with the long f/8 focal ratio and only 22% secondary obstruction makes the Ursa Major an excellent choice for observing the Moon and planets. Enjoy excellent views of brighter deep sky objects like the M42/ Orion Nebula thanks to the Ursa Major’s 6” aperture and high contrast optics.
Minimum 93% Reflectivity
The Ursa Major 6” Dobsonian telescope is fitted with GSO Aluminised Parabolic Primary Mirrors offering a minimum of 93% reflectivity and a silicon dioxide protective overcoat, ensuring the surface remains bright for years of use.
Easy collimation adjustment
The primary mirror cell has been designed with collimation knobs to allow for easy collimation adjustment without tools.
Smooth & Accurate Focusing
Featuring a CNC-machined 1.25” Crayford focuser, the Uras Major 6” Dobsonian offers smooth accurate focusing and zero image shift.
Easy To Adjust
The Ursa Major 6" f/8 Dobsonian uses Teflon pads, which provide smooth altitude movement. The tension can be adjusted to achieve the right amount of resistance. A spring tension system prevents the telescope from moving during eyepiece changes. Thanks to its robust roller-bearing assembly, smooth and reliable azimuth (left-right) adjustments are achieved.
