StellaLyra 12" f/5 Dobsonian
The StellaLyra 12” f/5 Dobsonian telescope is capable of achieving amazing astral observations, with 44% more light-gathering ability than the StellaLyra 10" model. Paring the incredibly wide 12” aperture with its 1520mm focal length enables you to achieve some spectacle views of many deep-sky objects such as galaxies and nebulae along with sharp images of our slightly closer neighbours, including Jupiter’s weather band and Saturn’s rings.
Minimum 93% Reflectivity
The StellaLyra 12” Dobsonian telescope is fitted with GSO Aluminised Parabolic Primary Mirrors offering a minimum of 93% reflectivity and a silicon dioxide protective overcoat, ensuring the surface remains bright for years of use.
Easy Collimation Adjustment
The primary mirror cell has been designed with collimation knobs to allow for easy collimation adjustment without tools.
Clear And Sharp Views
The StellaLyra 12" f/5 Dobsonian includes three fully multicoated eyepieces, 1.25" 9mm Plössl, 1.25" 15mm Plössl, and 2" 30mm SuperView to ensure clear and sharp views.
Precise Focusing
Featuring a CNC-machined 2” Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual-speed focus adjustment for smooth, precise focusing. The focuser includes a 2” to 1.25” adapter, perfect for using both 2” and 1.25” eyepieces and accessories. A 35mm focus extended has also been supplied for when using long focal length 2” eyepieces.
Sturdy Dobsonian Base
The Dobsonian comes flat-packed and is easy to assemble, designed with a robust roller-bearing assembly between two metal plates. Enabling smooth, reliable azimuth adjustments. The robust steel shaft and CNC-machined metal plates with large knurled tension adjustment knobs allow for altitude adjustment.
Precise Balance
The StellaLyra 12" f/5 Dobsonian has a convenient balance adjustment mechanism with an engraved scale that enables the telescope to be moved forward or backward for precise balance.
