Powerful, professional
The compact Sony A 7 C packs a powerful backside-illuminated full-frame EXMOR R CMOS sensor. This sensor is from the same series of full-frame sensors found in many of the latest high-end Sony cameras including the A7R IV; promising powerful shooting from a highly portable device. A BIONZ X image processor offers up 10fps continuous shooting.

With approx 24.2 effective Megapixel high-resolution imaging and 4K movie recording you’ll be able to capture life in superb detail. An impressive ISO range of 100-51200 will allow you to utilise this powerful detailing in challenging lighting across the spectrum. The impressive in-body image stabilisation will give your videos a balanced, smooth look while assisting with longer exposures and more. Superb vibration reduction is provided by a new shutter unit mechanism.
The 4K 30p and FHD 120p movie options have no recording limit thanks to an excellent cooling design. Perfect for those longer projects or vlogging.
Low-light-ready
The larger pixel sizes on the sensor allow for an increased signal-to-noise ratio, for beautiful images with more detail in textures and shadow areas. Noise reduction is particularly effective at the medium- and high-ISO sensitivities required for fast-moving or poorly lit subjects. Standard ISO100-51200 is extendable to ISO50-204800

The 24.2MP Exmor R™ CMOS sensor works with Sony's BIONZ X™ engine to deliver superb colour reproduction along with a wide 15-stop dynamic range, and it helps capture details and smooth transitions across all lighting conditions in both stills and movies.

A 0.39-inch 2,359,296 dots XGA OLED electronic viewfinder has been paired with a 7.5cm flip-out LCD touchscreen display. This makes shooting easy and simple whether capturing videos at obscure angles or fine-tuning your composition in a portrait. Vloggers will find this display exceptionally useful, particularly when using a grip like the Sony GP-VPT2BT Shooting Grip with Bluetooth Control.
Rapid and reliable autofocus
Sony’s highly renowned real-time autofocus system is the piece de resistance on their range of cameras. The A 7 C is no exception, featuring the same system as the A7 Mark III and 693 AF Phase Detection Points. Precise and mighty eye-detection AF works seamlessly when shooting stills with Animal Eye-AF and Human Eye-AF. Human Eye-AF locks on to your subject when capturing movies. The camera has 693 AF points and will focus comfortably in lighting as low as EV-4.

Featured on the A7C, Sony Human Eye AF is a unique, award-winning design. It will track the eye of your subject - giving you sharp and crystal-clear images from a quick snapshot to a portrait. Animal Eye AF
Animal Eye AF is the latest upgrade to Sony’s real-time autofocus capability. It’s perfect for any pro or budding wildlife photographer - as well as daily use with your pets or on a more extravagant excursion like a safari. Taking the same platform, the system now allows you to take beautiful portraits of pets, birds and most other kinds of animals. The wide AF point coverage allows you to easily capture the subject in busier scenes and challenging conditions.
High-quality audio
No 4K video content creation tool is perfect without the ability to capture beautiful audio. A digital audio interface featuring a mic and headphone jack is perfect for optimising your audio when required.
Shoot to your heart’s content
The A7C comes with a high-capacity battery - the NP-FZ100, which is found in the latest releases like the A7S III and A9 II. This will allow you to photograph up to 740 still images and 220 mins of video (depending on conditions and settings). USB-C Charging is perfect for your travels, with many options for powering up on the go. Dust and moisture-resistant sealing allow you to shoot with peace of mind. A monocoque construction makes the camera very robust, despite the small form factor.
