Stunning Image Quality
The Sony a7 IV features a 33MP EXMOR R CMOS back-illuminated sensor. An upgrade from the Sony a7 III, the sensor allows the camera to produce breathtakingly high-quality images even in low-light situations.
The Alpha 7 IV inherits the latest colour science and creative modes from Sony’s professional line of cameras. Allowing users to shoot true-to-life vivid images in a unique style.
Sony’s Best Autofocus Performance To Date
Real-time tracking and Eye AF for humans, animals and birds, the Sony a7 IV effortless tracks subjects whilst shooting photos or videos. Shoot up to 10fps and utilise the fast buffer clearance to never miss a moment ever again. The Sony a7 IV features 759 points of phase-detection AF.
A Sony Shooting Experience Like No Other
A refined design, the Sony a7 IV includes a fast and clear electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 3.69M dots of clarity. A brand new 3” vari-angle touchscreen monitor is a welcomed addition to the Alpha range and a dedicated photo/video/S&Q dial makes the a7 IV sit seamlessly as the ultimate hybrid camera for both entry-level mirrorless users and professionals alike.
A ‘Sunny Weather’ option allows the screen to be visible even in the brightest sunlight. Keeping you shooting in the ever-changing British weather!
5.5 Stops of In-body Image Stabilisation
As we’ve seen in many Sony alpha series cameras already, the Sony a7 IV will be no different. Featuring up to 5.5-stops (CIPA Standard) of in-built image stabilisation, users can be safe in the knowledge that their stills and video will be shake-free, even when shooting handheld.
Multi-Memory Card Functionality
The a7 IV features two slots. Slot 1 is a multi-slot and supports SD (UHS-I/II compliant) memory cards and CFexpress Type A cards. Slot 2 supports SD (UHS-I/II compliant) memory cards. Simultaneously record to both slots, auto switch media and copy between cards.
4K Glory up to 60p
Record movies up to 60p in 4K with full pixel readout and no binning for incredible quality. Seasoned filmmakers can take advantage of recording in 4:2:2 10-bit which incudes S-CINETONE and S-LOG3 profiles for an extra cinematic look. This, coupled with the full-frame sensor will give users a lot to play with in post-production.
Additional Video Features
Content creators and filmmakers can make use of the super-fast real-time autofocus technology that tracks the eye of humans, animals and birds. The a7 IV also includes breathing compensation, a digital audio interface for attaching professional audio microphones, and is designed with a heat-dissipating structure for long periods of recording.
Live Streaming
Livestream up to 4K at 15p or Full HD at 60p without the need for recording to a memory card, keeping you connected to your audience at all times. Compatible with the latest USB-C gen 3.2, a superfast Wi-Fi chip plus an automatic Bluetooth image back-up mode, you can transfer and share your images instantly.
Intuitive Sony Menu
Sony’s menu system underwent a big overhaul with the launch of the Sony a7S III and the a7 IV continues this trend. Easy and intuitively access shooting features via the dedicated stills and video menus. This provides users with less stress when trying to amend settings in ‘run and gun’ situations.
