Sigma AF 24mm F1.4 DG DN | Art Lens
The Sigma AF 24mm f1.4 DG DN Art is a full-frame, wide-angle prime lens designed specifically for use with mirrorless cameras. The lens is perfect for landscapes, architecture and pro-level astrophotography, thanks to its fast f1.4 aperture and 84.1° angle of view as well as a minimum focusing distance of just 25cm that allows you to get close-up to subjects.
A new Sigma AF 20mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens has just been released. Both the 24mm and 20mm versions are available in Sony E-Mount and L-Mount.
Perfect for Astro, Architecture and Landscape Photography
This lens is perfect for astrophotography as well as landscapes and architecture thanks to its 24mm focal length, which delivers an impressive 84.1° angle of view, and a bright maximum aperture of f1.4 allowing you to use it in low-light conditions.
The lens also features a front filter thread and a rear filter holder, so that you can attach additional accessories like light pollution filters as well as a lock switch for the aperture ring as well as a new Manual Focus Lock (MFL) switch that completely deactivates the focus ring. This ensures that the focus position will not be altered if the lens is knocked accidentally which is hugely beneficial to night-sky photographers.
Design and Build*
The Sigma AF 24mm f1.4 has been constructed from a combination of aluminium and Thermally Stable Composite (TSC), measures just 95.5mm in length and weighs a mere 520g, making it 30% lighter than Sigma’s previous version of the lens. The lens is constructed from 17 elements in 14 groups including 2 FLD, 1 SLD and 4 Aspherical elements which help to suppress a range of optical aberrations such as sagittal coma flare and allows the lens to accurately reproduce bright points of light even in the extreme periphery of the frame.
The lens also features a Super Multi Coating and Nano Porous Coating (NPC) to minimise ghosting and flare.

Also Great for Videography
The Sigma AF 24mm f1.4 has a built-in manual aperture ring, which is de-clickable for a smooth transition between aperture settings. This is particularly useful for seamless exposure adjustments when shooting video.
Speaking of shooting video, the lens features a near-silent autofocus system, driven by a stepping motor so that you can capture weddings and other events that require the utmost discretion.
There is also an AFL button that has been built into the lens that can be customised to a range of different functions*, and on the L-Mount version of the lens, you can switch between linear and nonlinear focus ring movement (USB Dock required).
* Only on compatible cameras. Available functions may vary depending on the camera used.
Great for Close-up
The lens offers a minimum focus distance of just 25cm, allowing you to get closer to your subjects and capture them with exaggerated features. This is perfect for close-up headshots as well as full body images while isolating the subject from the background with the wide F1.4 aperture.
Weather-sealed design
The AF 24mm features a dust and splash-resistant structure* allowing it to perform in light rain. The lens also has a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element, as well as a rubber seal around the mount.
* While the lens is safe to use in light rain, please note that it is not fully weather sealed and therefore not waterproof.
