The world’s first Sports line lens for mirrorless systems
The 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports is designed to handle the most challenging subjects. This is the first lens from Sigma Sports dedicated to the mirrorless camera user. Built from the ground up, the lens has advanced features that make capturing fast-action subjects such as wildlife, motorcars and sports a joy. The L-Mount is compatible with SIGMA’s 1.4x and 2x L-Mount teleconverters with autofocus being effective all the way through the focal range up to 1200mm.
Uncompromising optical performance throughout the zoom
Constructed out of high-quality glass, the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS | Sports yields professional quality results every time. 25 elements sit in 15 groups within the lens, comprising of high-performance glass including 4 FDL (‘F’ Low Dispersion) and 2 SDL elements. The lens is designed to combat the effects of optical aberrations and has high resistance to ghosting and glare, producing high-contrast images even in strong sunlight and backlit conditions. The 9-blade, rounded diaphragm produces beautiful bokeh and attractive compression that can only be reached by using a telephoto lens. Significant for such a long focal length, at the wide end of 150mm, the minimum focusing distance is just 58cm which opens up further creative possibilities and composition options.
Fast, high-precision AF
With the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sport you are getting the pro-level functionality that defines the Sigma Sports range. This lens is specifically designed to capture fast-action subjects such as wildlife, athletes and motorsport events. Equipped with an impressive autofocus unit with a high-precision magnetic sensor, the 150-600mm has impressive functionality to meet these demanding subjects. The Optical Stabiliser (OS) function delivers an effective image stabilisation that offers an advantage of approximately 4 stops*, ideal for hand-held shooting at slower shutter speeds. Furthermore, the OS is controllable via the OS switch and Custom Mode switch giving you the control to best suit your current shooting situation.

The quiet and ultra-fast AF actuator is controlled via a stepping motor and is excellent for tracking moving subjects. The lens features a Focus Limiter switch that offers three zones of AF modification. This function improves the speed at which the lens locates subjects, an essential tool for any action photographer. For those using the L-Mount lens, the focus limit can be further customised using the Sigma USB Dock. Additional control buttons include three AFL buttons which can be assigned various functions in-camera depending on the camera model used. These customisable functions allow you to streamline your photographic workflow to best suit your shooting style.
Outstanding build quality
The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Sport is constructed to a professional grade. Made out of a combination of aluminium and TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) the lens is incredibly robust and durable. It is both dust and splash resistant and features a water and oil-repellent coating on the front lens element for further protection in all environments. The lens has been optimised specifically for ultra-telephoto photography and comes with all the additional accessories necessary including a removable magnesium tripod socket with Arca Swiss-type clamp and shoulder strap.
To provide the most intuitive shooting system the lens has a Dual Action Zoom System that allows you to change the angle of view very quickly via either the straight or ring zoom. A brand new feature for this Sigma lens is the Zoom Torque switch that changes the resistance of the zoom ring. This can be particularly useful for those capturing both still and moving images however further applications mean the lens can be locked at the wide end of the focal length and the potential for zoom creep is eliminated. This robust, compact and lightweight lens has “Made in Japan” craftsmanship that will marry perfectly with any mirrorless camera system.
