What’s new in the v2?
The new Explore v2 range is packed full of features designed to improve travelling with photography kit. The Explore v2 30 is sized to meet the global carry-on dimensions as well as fit under most aeroplane seating. For getting through the airport itself a handy luggage-handle pass-through means you can safely mount your bag to your suitcase as you move through customs. TSA lock-friendly zippers now come included too for additional security and peace of mind.
Other useful additions to the Explore v2 include a case handle, an aired-out harness, a MIC mount and a dual-access document pocket with a hidden passport section so that you can reach your most important files at the right time.
Airport to Alpine
Shimoda wanted a backpack that would do more than just get a photographer from airport to airport. They wanted a bag that could go the full distance and get you all the way to the top of the mountain. The Explore range is just that, a camera bag system that features all the conveniences of a travel pack, but is also built for serious alpine adventures, and can still hang in style while in the city.
All-day comfort
The Explore v2 prioritises a comfortable carry. The height-adjustable harness distributes weight evenly across the chest for improved hold. Padded shoulder straps make carrying heavy loads all day a breeze. Plus the quick reach phone and accessory pockets in the straps mean that you can keep key items within arms reach at all times.
Fits the NEW Mirrorless Core Units
New to the Explore range, Shimoda has released the Mirrorless Core Unit range to help better organise and protect your gear. The Explore v2 30 is compatible with the Small, Medium and Large Core Units.
Multi-point access
As is standard in all Shimoda backpacks, the Explore v2 30 has both side and rear access. Organise and see all your gear at once via the rear access panel. Or, for quick on-the-go access to your camera, the side access points are fantastic for ensuring you can grab that camera and get that shot.
Important protection for important kit
Shimoda wants to ensure that your equipment is kept safe at all times. That’s why they have added features such as YKK splashguard zippers, heavy-duty base material and a rain cover to protect against the elements. With an eye for detail too, Shimoda has included a handy key ring clip and safety whistle so that even at the top of a mountain you can know where your keys and your friends are.
