The Explore v2 25 Starter Kit is the smallest in Shimoda’s Explore line. Able to fit under an aeroplane seat and yet still have an impressive 25L capacity, this bag will get you from the airport to the top of the mountain, no problem.
What’s new in the v2?
The new Explore v2 range is packed full of features designed to improve travelling with a photography kit. The Explore v2 25 is sized to meet the global carry-on dimensions as well as fit under any aeroplane seat. For getting through the airport itself a handy luggage-handle pass-through means you can safely mount your bag to your suitcase as you move through customs. TSA lock-friendly zippers now come included too for additional security and peace of mind.
Other useful additions to the Explore v2 include a case handle, an aired-out harness, a MIC mount and a dual-access document pocket with a hidden passport section so that you can reach your most important files at the right time.
Airport to Alpine
Shimoda wanted a backpack that would do more than just get a photographer from airport to airport. They wanted a bag that could go the full distance and get you all the way to the top of the mountain. Included in the v2 25 Starter Kit is the Shimoda Core Unit Small Mirrorless. Designed to specifically fit the narrower Explore v2 25 the unit organises your space and keeps your kit well protected. Customise your bag to fit your kit by rearranging the removable dividers. With the new Core Units packing is sure to be easier than ever before.
Multi-point access
As is standard in all Shimoda backpacks, the Explore v2 25 has both side and rear access. Organise and see all your gear at once via the rear access panel. Or, for quick on-the-go access to your camera, the side access points are fantastic for ensuring you can grab that camera and get that shot.
Important protection for important kit
Shimoda wants to ensure that your equipment is kept safe at all times. That’s why they have added features such as YKK splashguard zippers, heavy-duty base material and a rain cover to protect against the elements. With an eye for detail too, Shimoda has included a handy key ring clip and safety whistle so that even at the top of a mountain you can know where your keys and your friends are.
