The Samyang AF 24mm f1.8 - Sony FE Mount packs a lot into a little. Optimised to fit Sony Full Frame and APS-C E-Mount Mirrorless cameras, this brand new f1.8 lens is incredibly powerful. New features include Infinity Focus Custom Mode, perfect for Astrophotography, and a customisable Focus-Hold button for ultimate creative control.
Compact and super-fast
This AF lens is designed for mobility, weighing only 230g and measuring 71.5mm in length. The wide-angle lens is built for landscape, interior, and astrophotography and delivers crisp images from corner to corner even wide open at f1.8, making every shot worth it.
The lens is built up of 11 elements in 8 groups, including 7 special lenses (3 HR, 2 ASP, and 2 ED). These lenses when combined, deliver incredible image quality with minimal coma and spherical aberration which is ideal when photographing the stars.
Super-fast f1.8 aperture creates spectacularly blurred backgrounds and the 9 blade circular aperture creates smooth, natural bokeh for dreamy landscape photography.
Designed for the extraordinary every day
This is the next in a series of prime lenses built for the Sony E Mount. Designed with a matt finish and laser-engraved font for improved readability. It is a lens that can be used wherever inspiration hits due to new and improved weather sealing in 5 locations that protect from dust, light rain and snow.
Advanced autofocus
The AF 24mm f1.8 FE lens contains the latest linear stepping-motor (STM) which delivers fast, quiet and accurate autofocus. Get close to your subjects with a minimum focusing distance of just 19cm, or set the focus to infinity using the new Custom Mode.
New Features for maximised usability
Samyang has packed a lot into this compact lens including a customisable Focus-Hold Button which keeps the lens locked at the desired focusing distance. This can then be customised further in-camera by assigning other functions to the focus button when required.
The Samyang Custom Switch also allows for ease of operation whilst shooting. Easily select different functions including Aperture Control Mode or Manual Focus Mode depending on your preference.
Optimised for Astrophotography
This is a lens designed with the stars in mind. Take full control with new features including Custom Mode. A brand new LED indicator which, when activated, will automatically and precisely set the focus to infinity. Users can also customise this further by setting their own focus position, giving full creative control. Particularly useful when working in dark environments, the LED will flash green when adjusted to the correct saved value.
