So What’s New?
The Ricoh GR III HDF comes equipped with a built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter). This gives you the option to capture mellow, softened images that emphasise highlights and give the images a nostalgic film look.
Looking for sharper, high-contrast images? No problem. The filter can be switched off easily so that you can effortlessly alternate between two completely different visual modes.
If It Ain’t Broke!
The GR III HDF features the same 18.3mm f2.8 GR lens and 24.24MP APS-C CMOS image sensor as the original to produce phenomenal image quality. With an angle of view of 28mm (in the 35mm format) and a fast F2.8 maximum aperture, this compact camera can produce clean and sharp photos, even in low light. A minimum focusing distance of 6 cm also allows for some macro capabilities with a natural bokeh effect.
Take With You Anywhere
The GR III HDF weighs 257g* and measures just 109.4 x 61.9 x 33.2 mm making it a perfect camera for travel and street photography. The camera is capable of a rapid start-up of 0.8s while the enhanced operability provided by the control dial and touchscreen ensures you’re always ready to capture that impromptu moment.

Perfect for Low-light
The GR III HDF features a three-axis shake reduction mechanism that delivers 4 stops of stabilisation. This helps when shooting handheld and/or in low-light situations. This is further aided by an ISO range of up to 102400 ISO and the lens F2.8 aperture that gives you immense flexibility in environments with poor lighting. Alternatively, the minimisation of flare and ghosting in images when shooting against backlight, thanks to the high-refraction, low-dispersion glass elements, lets it perform well both in studios and on sunny days.
Hybrid AF System
The GR III HDF combines contrast and phase-detect autofocus to create a process with high-speed recognition and precise focusing.
High-def LCD Monitor
The GR III HDF features a 3” high-definition LCD monitor with approximately 1,037,000 dots with touchscreen operation for easy control and setup.
High image quality and HD video
The Ricoh GR III HDF is capable of full HD recording (1920x1080 at 60p/30p/24p) and producing high-resolution images, with a 24.24MP APS-C CMOS image sensor. The image's colour graduation, saturation, contrast, and more can be further adjusted via an Image Control function.
