Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50
The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 features a powerful 640x480,17µm, <30mK NETD thermal sensor and is capable of detecting even the smallest heat signature at up to 1800m.
Multispectral
The Merger Duo NXP50 gives the user the detection abilities of a thermal imaging device along with the identification capabilities of a digital night vision device. On top of this, there is a combined viewing mode and Picture-in-Picture so that the user can evaluate the terrain around them through the digital night vision channel and identify the animal through the thermal channel.
Crystal Clear Images
The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 features a powerful 640x480,17µm, <30mK NETD thermal sensor and 50mm f1.0 germanium lens that allows the NXP50 to detect even the smallest heat signature at up to 1800m. The <25mK NETD rating delivers outstanding thermal sensitivity to ensure that the image presented is always crystal-clear in all weather conditions.
Full-HD Digital Night Vision
The NXP50 uses a 1920x1200px CMOS sensor that delivers stunning digital night vision images with high-quality detail processing to ensure that you see every detail. This allows you to observe an animal’s silhouette, anatomical features, and behavioural peculiarities for greater information when out in the field.
Advanced Image Processing
The Merger Duo NXP50 delivers stunning detail, clarity, and contrast to ensure that you get as much information as possible. Scenes are rendered in a wide range of halftones with evenly emitting low-contrast objects, such as sky, grass or water reflections. The software enhances the sharpness and detail of observed objects at different distances, resulting in an exceptionally informative thermal picture. If the user decides to manually increase the thermal sensor’s sensitivity setting then the processing algorithms will significantly improve the quality of its detection capabilities when environmental conditions worse.
IR Illuminator Included
The NXP50 features an invisible 940 nm IR illuminator that increases both the image detail and detection capabilities in the digital channel. The user can choose their preferred viewing distance thanks to a 3-step power adjustment as well as improved illumination distance when viewing objects or animals in low-light conditions. You can also make tiny adjustments to the IR illuminator’s spot position for even greater observational control.
Keep Going All Day
The NXP50 comes equipped with a dual-battery charging system. One of the batteries is built-in and has a capacity of 4 Ah while the other battery is replaceable and has a capacity of 3.2 Ah. The device can provide up to 10 hours of observation* on a full charge and the battery can be changed easily, even in the dark thanks to a unique embossed design to the top of the replaceable battery.

Standby Mode
Another incredibly useful feature of the NXP50 is the improved power saving thanks to the addition of a built-in proximity sensor. The device is put into standby mode as soon as they are taken away from the face so that the battery life is preserved for as long as possible.
User Mode
It is possible to store your user settings with User Mode so that you can achieve the perfect image the moment you pick the device up, with no adjustments necessary.
Built for Comfort
The NXP50 features a classic design along with a small form factor so that they fit comfortably in the hand while weighing just 1200g so they can be used for long periods with very little fatigue. There are six function buttons along the body, each placed in a comfortable and convenient arrangement, the most used function buttons can be activated with a single touch.
Adjustable Interpupillary Distance
Pulsar has taken into consideration the effect of eyestrain, which might occur when receiving visual information through two separate channels at the same time. The NXP50, therefore, has an adjustable interpupillary distance of 62-74mm, enabling better performance in low-contrast scenarios.
Carry Case Included
The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 comes with an ergonomically designed carry case allowing you to store/remove whilst the optimal belt positioning evenly distributes the weight of the device on the user’s body — relieving the weight from around the shoulders, back, and neck.
8 Colour Palettes
The NXP50 features 8 selectable colour palettes so that you can optimise the device depending on the scenario you find yourself in.
For example, White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are a perfect choice for object detection. You can use Rainbow and Ultramarine to increase recognition and identification capabilities, whereas Sepia, Red Monochrome and Violet are the best choices for night-time observation.
Tough and Waterproof
The NXP50 boasts a magnesium alloy housing as well as an IPX7 waterproof rating that allows for use in harsh weather conditions, whilst protecting the internal components against shocks, drops, moisture, heat, and cold. The device can survive being immersed in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. The housing also acts as a heatsink to dissipate heat produced via internal electronics and can operate in temperatures ranging from -25 to +50°C.
Built-In Video Recorder
The NXP50 comes equipped with a built-in still image and video recorder so that you can capture your findings. You can store thousands of photos and hours of video thanks to the 16GB of internal memory and transfer easily via the USB-C connection, or the Stream Vision 2 app’s 16GB of free cloud storage.
