The Pentax WG-1000 has been designed to be the ultimate robust adventure camera, perfect for capturing those exciting moments when you’re taking part in more extreme adventures and activities like canoeing or rock climbing. Featuring a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, 4 x optical zoom and a special underwater mode, the Pentax WG-1000 captures detailed images in any environment.
Robust Construction
Constructed with a reliable all-weather housing with a waterproof rating of JIS Claa 8, allowing you to dive with the Pentax WG-1000 to a depth of 15 metres and can be operated continuously for up to one hour. The WG-1000 is also dustproof against dirt, and stains and is shockproof from heights up to two metres. This robust camera can be used in many harsh and demanding conditions, making it a must-have for any lifelong adventurer.
The camera body can also be sterilised with special solvents containing ethanol, sodium hypochlorite or chlorine dioxide, this allows the WG-1000 to be used in medical facilities or on construction sites without fear of contamination.
Sharp, Clear Images
The WG-1000 delivers sharp, clear, high-resolution images thanks to the combination of its back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with 16.35 effective megapixels and an effective anti-shake mode to effectively compensate for camera shake. The WG-1000 has a high sensitivity of up to ISO 3200, allowing for high sensitivity, low-noise characteristics, and high-speed image data readout.
Wide Focal Range
The Pentax WG-1000 has been designed with a wide focal length range of 4.9mm to 19.6mm with a 4x optical zoom lens. This is equivalent to approximately 27mm to 108mm in 35mm format. A 24x digital zoom function also lets you capture incredibly detailed magnified images. The wide focal range of the Pentax WG-1000 allows for more versatility and freedom to get the shot you want.
Seven Shooting Modes
The Pentax WG-1000 features seven different shooting modes, each mode has been specially designed to select the best possible settings for different situations automatically. This includes an underwater mode, which faithfully reproduces the colours of the underwater world. The camera offers a scene mode, allowing you to select from 18 different options to produce your perfect photo.
20 Colour Modes
The WG-100 has 2 colour modes available to create images according to your own creative ideas. These colour modes include the classic black and white and sepia modes along with others that offer further creative options such as ‘Japan’ Style which enhances blush colour tones, ‘Italian’ Style which enhances greenish colour tones or ‘French’ Style which enhances reddish colour tones.
Full HD Movie Recording
The Pentax WG-1000 can also record full HD movie recordings using the H-264 recording format with a frame rate of 30 frames per second.
