The Pentax SP 12X50 WP Binoculars offer outstanding clarity with a 12x magnification. The optics have been fully coated to provide maximum light transmission, resulting in high quality viewing with minimal internal glare and flare.
Pentax S-Series
The Pentax S-series of binoculars are available in both roof and porro prism models. These binoculars boast a newly developed light transmission coating as well as a hydrophobic coating, thereby allowing for contrast-rich, bright viewing under rough outdoor conditions. These binoculars boast a rubber armoured waterproof and nitrogen-purged body so that it can withstand weather, dust or rough impact.
Minimal ghost and flaring
The lenses have been fully multi-coated to maximize the amount of light passing through the lens and to help prevent flare and ghosting.
Protective Lens Coating
These binoculars feature an added a protective, nano technology coating that helps to deflect water, oil, dust and dirt allowing these binos to withstand the harshest viewing conditions.
Edge-to-edge sharpness
The binoculars utilize aspherical lens elements in the eyepieces to achieve edge-to-edge sharpness via a specially shaped lens design that helps to keep aberration to a minimum.
BaK4 prisms
Due to its outstanding refractive index, the BaK4 glass prism found in all PENTAX Sport Optics is highly acclaimed for its perfectly round exit pupil and clear, unvignetted image.
Phase Correction
The complex optical design of roof prism binoculars provide durable, compact, yet lightweight design but require a higher level of optical perfection. A phase-correction coating is applied in the full range of roof prism binoculars to maximize image viewing quality.
Long eye relief design
The binoculars feature a long eye relief design which allows the viewer to see the entire field of view clearly and effortlessly. This is especially beneficial to eyeglass wearers, and allows viewing for extended periods of time without added eye strain.
Strong magnesium build
The binoculars have been constructed from magnesium to offer even more protection against shocks and impacts.
Waterproof
The binoculars are waterproof and can provide a fog proof view as they have been fully sealed and purged with laboratory grade nitrogen. They can even be submerged in up to 3ft of water thanks to their JIS Class 6 rating.
