LUMIX S 18-40mm F4.5-6.3 Lens
The lens has been constructed from 8 elements in 7 groups, consisting of 3 aspherical lenses, 2 ED lenses and 1 UHR lens. The Panasonic LUMIX S 18-40mm f4.5-6.3 is the world’s smallest and lightest* zoom lens weighing in at a mere 155g/0.34lb and measuring just φ67.9 x 40.9 mm.** This compact lens covers a focal range of 18-40mm making it a great choice for landscapes, architecture and even portraiture.

DJI LIDAR AF Ready
The LUMIX S5D is DJI LiDAR AF ready, allowing you to pair the camera with the DJI LiDAR Range Finder Module (sold separately) and the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal (sold separately). The distance measurement information is sent directly to the camera via USB, the camera then drives the focus of the DJI RS Pro Gimbal. The LIDAR’s high-speed 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter distance allow for a fast AF, which is also effective when shooting in low-light conditions.
Wide Dynamic Range
The 24.2 megapixels 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor boasts a wide dynamic range and high-sensitivity performance. Designed with Dual Native ISO Technology the LUMIX S5D is capable of a maximum ISO 51200 of crystal-clear high sensitivity video. Perfect for capturing footage even in low-light situations. The Dual Native ISO technology minimises noise generation by choosing an optimal circuit to use according to the sensitivity before processing.
Superb Video Performance
The Panasonic LUMIX S5D is capable of recording in several different video resolutions including 4k 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit and 4K 30p/25p 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording up to 30 minutes. The S5D is also capable of recording at 4K 60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit via a HDMI output or 4k 30p/25p 4:2:0 8-bit Internal recording without a time limit.
RAW Video Capability
The LUMIX S5D is capable of recording RAW video data output when connected to an ATOMOS NINJA V (sold separately) via a HDMI connection at a resolution of 5.9k 29.97p/25p, 4.1K 59.94p/50p and anamorphic 3.5k.
Recording Assist
There are several recording assist functions available with the LUMIX S5D including Vector SCope Display, Master Pedestal Adjustment and SS/Gain Operation.
14+ Stops Dyanmic Range
The Panasonic LUMIX S5D delivers 14+ stops of dynamic range, virtually imitating the dynamic range of Panasonic Cinema Cameras. The wide dynamic range enables you to precisely reproduce everything from dark to bright areas, as well as capture accurate colours and skin tones. The LUMIX S5D makes use of the renowned colour science of Panasonic’s VariCam as well as V-Log/V-Gamut.
Integrated Body I.S (Image Stabiliser)
The LUMIX S5D has been developed with an integrated stabilisation algorithm that precisely calculates shake information through the gyrosensor, the image sensor and the accelerometer sensor. This gives the LUMIX S5D a more accurate shake detection and compensation system, letting you use up to 5-stop slower shutter speed. When combined with the Optical Image Stabiliser system found in LUMIX S series lenses, the image stabilisation increases to 6.5 stops.
Durable Compact Body
Created with a magnesium alloy full-die-cast body the LUMIX S5D is capable of withstanding heavy field use and is splash/dust-resistant. The layout and components of the camera allow for optimum heat dispersion, ideal for continuous video recording for long periods.
Large LVF With High-Speed OLED
The LUMIX S5D has a large Live View Finder (LVF) with a magnification ratio of 0.74x along with a high-precision, high-speed Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display with 2,360K-dot resolution. Pairing the LVF system with the high-speed OLED enables high-speed responses with a minimum time lag of less than 0.005 seconds.
3-Inch Free-Angle LCD
A 3-inch high-resolution free-angle LCD screen with 1,840K-dot high resolution and touch control has been integrated into the LUMIX S5D. Letting you compose your shots in popular aspect ratios, such as 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 4:5, 5:4 and 9:16. This can be checked with the frame marker function.
Double SD Memory Card Slots
Capture hundreds of images and hours of video thanks to the double SD memory card slots. One slot complex with UHS-I while the other complies with high-speed, high-capacity UHS-II.
