The DC-BS1H is Panasonic’s new full-frame box-style LUMIX Mirrorless Camera. Combining the same outstanding video performance of the LUMIX S1H, but in a box-style profile this camera features a 24-megapixel full-frame sensor with Dual Native ISO technology, is capable of 6K full-area high resolution video, fantastic bokeh, great low-light performance, 14+ stops of dynamic range and V-Log.

Powerful Performance
The DC-BS1H features a 24.2MP 35mm full-frame sensor (35.6 mm x 23.8mm) that is capable of capturing up to 6K resolution. Boasting an active resolution of 6,024 x 4,016 it can deliver approximately 24.2 million photosites.
Moire and false colour is suppressed by an OLPF (Optical Low Pass Filter) and the image sensors Dual Native ISO, combined with the powerful Venus Engine allows for outstanding image quality with minimal noise even at ISO 51200.
Cinema Quality Video
The DC-BS1H is capable of producing cinema quality video thanks to its 35mm full-frame sensor. You can capture stunning 6K/24p, 5.4K/30p (3:2 aspect ratio) or 5.9K/30p (16:9 aspect ratio) as well as 10-bit 60p 4K/C4K HEVC when using the image area equivalent to Super 35mm.
If you choose to shoot in regular 4K you can capture 4:2:2 10-bit 4K/30p in H.264 at its full area. You can also capture 4:2:2 10-bit 4K 60p/50p when using HDMI output.
Unlimited video recording is possible in a range of formats, including 4:3 Anamorphic Mode thanks to the camera's newly designed heat dispersion structure.
You can also capture 5.9K/4K/Anamorphic (4:3) 3.5K over HDMI when used with an external monitor recorder to save as Apple ProRes RAW.
Slow and Quick Motion Video
To further enhance your creativity the DC-BS1H features VFR (Variable Frame Rate) so that you can capture both slow and fast motion footage. It is possible to get C4K/4K video at 60fps and FHD at up to 180fps for slow motion capture. The camera also allows you to record as low as 2fps quick motion footage
There is also a HFR (High Frame Rate) mode that allows video to be recorded with both audio and autofocus functioning at the same time.
Accurate Colour Reproduction
The DC-BS1H boasts outstanding colour management so that it can produce accurate colour reproduction and rich skin tones. This is made possible thanks to the use of the world-renowned colourimetry of the VariCam lineup of cinema cameras.
You can capture your footage in V-Log/V-gamut so that you have even more dynamic range and colours to work with in post-production.

What is the purpose of V-Log?
V-Log will render an incredibly flat image. This retains the highest levels of colour and brightness info. Which, in turn, gives you a lot of flexibility during post-production.
What is V-Gamut for?
V-Gamut is a wide colour gamut. This is achieved by the CMOS sensor on the BS1H. It gives a much broader colour space than you get with BT.2020. It also has Log Curve characteristics which, like negative film will give a colour space even larger than on film itself.
Q - What is Dynamic Range?
This is the luminance range that a camera is capable of capturing.
