Brought over from the Leica M11, this rangefinder camera’s CMOS Sensor utilises Triple-Resolution technology, offering you a choice in the resolution you shoot with. Choose between 60MP, 36MP & 18MP and open up a new world of composition opportunities.
This versatility in choosing the resolution, owing to pixel binning technology, offers unparalleled opportunities to match every image brief. Use the Leica M11 to photograph exceptional billboard-quality campaigns, tell stories through travel and street photography, and dive into the picture with intense crops packed with detail.
Crop images in-camera up to 1.3x and 1.8x (45mm and 64mm equivalent respectively) to ensure tack-sharp features in every shot.
Sharp focus
Easy to use and intuitive focus; the M11-D is a rangefinder and uses rangefinder focusing. The Leica M11-D has an electronic shutter speed of 60s to 1/16,000s and a mechanical shutter speed of 60 minutes to 1/4000s. This incredible speed, achieved by the BSI CMOS Sensor, allows for a greater range of photographic styles and experimentation with this manual focus camera.
Quality design
A high-quality viewfinder and a thin form factor work together for this camera to focus on the necessities of photography. Designed to have a very low-profile aesthetic, the M11-D takes away the LCD screen of the M11 and gives control to photographers where they demand it. WiFi is built-in to work with the Leica Fotos app. On the top of the camera are the shutter speed dial, hot shoe, function button, and on/off switch. The back of the camera hosts a large ISO dial. The battery, USB-C port, and SD card slot can be accessed from the bottom of the camera.
RAW file versatility
The Leica M11-D shoots DNG files which you can port to your phone and even edit there if you wish, without the need for a computer.
High ISO output
The M11-D is excellent at high ISO settings working alongside the Leica lenses to handle natural colours and difficult light conditions, so you get bright and accurate image quality in every shot.
Wi-Fi Connect
Connect to your phone through the Leica FOTOS app to download the RAW files directly for posting on socials or editing. You can also change the M11-D’s settings in-app including the drive mode, metering, white balance, max auto ISO, max exposure time, and more. The app can also turn your phone into a remote for the camera, perfect for hands-free shooting and checking your shot’s framing from a distance.
Content Credentials
For journalists, documentary photographers, and more. This feature carried over from the M11-P, ensures authenticity is digitally stored with your visual content to guarantee the source of images according to the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) and the C2PA standard.
256GB Internal Memory
An upgraded internal memory of 256GB ensures that high-resolution images can be recorded so you’re not left wanting for extra space. This improves upon the 64GB memory storage of the Leica M11 camera.

FAQs
How does the resolution choice work?
The user is able to select, through the FOTOS app, what resolution they wish to shoot at. Choose between photographing at 60, 36, and 18 megapixels. The resolution is then decreased via pixel binning.
What is Pixel Binning?
The process in which the camera takes a group of four adjacent pixels (in a 2x2 quad) and combines them. Treated as one extra-large pixel, the image size is reduced along with image noise.
What is the benefit of Triple Resolution Technology?
Choice resolution is an incredibly beneficial feature. It means that the camera is able to work with you and your current requirements.
L-DNG (60MP) – The finest quality available with the M11-D. Best for fine art printing or for those looking to crop into the image. The dynamic range is as good as the Leica M10-R.
M-DNG (36MP) – The best overall performance resolution. Increases the dynamic range by +1 compared to L-DNG.
S-DNG (18MP) – Produces the least noise, better for low-light photography. Increases the dynamic range by a further +1.
