Design and Build
Classic German engineering gives the APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH lens a premium look and feel that sits perfectly with the M-system cameras.
The lens features an elaborate design, ten lens elements that are divided into five groups, three elements have aspherical surfaces (one of them on both sides). Six elements are made of glasses with anomalous partial dispersion, which helps to reduce chromatic aberrations to almost non-existent and also provides apochromatic correction. A quality that is very rarely seen in a lens of this focal length.
Performance and Technology
The 35mm prime lens from Leica provides an unrivalled imaging quality that Leica lenses are well known for. The wide-angle and f2 aperture provides a tack-sharp quality from edge-to-edge whilst being able to create incredibly soft, beautiful round bokeh.
Compatibility
The lens is compatible with the Leica M-system. Working perfectly with the likes of the Leica M-10R.
