Why do I need a protection filter?
Taking your spotting scope into the wild can expose it to harsh environments such as sand and salt at the coast, heavy rain and dirt in a marsh or just accidental fall from a tripod. All of this threatens to damage the most sensitive and valuable area of a spotting scope: the objective lens. Using a protection filter protects the lens against irreparable damage to the coatings and lens itself by either protecting the lens from breaking on a fall, or acting as a barrier between the elements and the objective lens.
Will using this filter impact my view?
Using the TP-105FT will not impede your view in any way when attached to your spotting scope. It is specifically designed to offer a seamless view while protecting the scope. The filter fits conveniently into the filter ring thread in front of the objective lens and affects neither the view nor the ability to fit a stay-on-case or other accessories to the scope.
