This telephoto lens from Fujifilm is compact and portable and provides image-makers with a great focal range that is equivalent to 107mm - 457mm on a 35mm full-frame. Its lightweight design houses a fast linear motor for autofocus provides up to 5.5 stops of optical image stabilisation and also provides the all-important, weather-resistant build.
Design and Build
Weighing just 580g with a complete length of 132.5mm, the Fujifilm XF 70-300mm lens combines 17 elements in 12 groups, including one aspherical element and two ED elements, in a body that only has a diameter of 75mm.
Weather-resistant seals have been applied at 10 locations within the lens barrel, so it’s protected against dust and moisture, whilst also having the ability to operate as temperatures as low as -10ºC.
Performance and Technology
A superb 5.5-stops of optical image stabilisation (OIS), helps to reduce the effects of camera shake which tend to be more apparent when you’re at the longer focal lengths. The lens’s OIS can also be used in conjunction with the in-body stabilisation that comes with cameras such as the Fujifilm X-S10, providing you with 5-axis stabilisation in a compact and lightweight system.
The linear motor drive system enables super-quick and very near-silent autofocusing, which is very useful for those wanting to capture images of wildlife or any candid photography.
Camera and Converter Compatibility
The full-frame equivalent of this lens is 107mm - 457mm and when coupled with the FUJINON XF 1.4x TC WR or FUJINON XF 2.0x TX WR teleconverters, the lens can reach full-frame equivalent lengths of up to a whopping 914mm, getting you up-close and personal to your subject whilst being incredibly far away.
When connected via either teleconverter, the phase-detection AF continues to work with zero reduction in performance.
The XF mount means that this lens is the ideal partner to the Fujifilm X Series range of cameras, such as the Fujifilm X-T4 and the new Fujifilm X-E4.

Attached to the XF2X TC WR teleconverter, maximum magnification is extended to 0.66x, which is the 35mm equivalent of 1:1 magnification and a necessary requirement to achieve the results most desired from macro photography.
