Designed to be sleek and aerodynamic, the DJI FPV drone is capable of a maximum flight speed of up to 87mph and a maximum flight time of 20 minutes* while weighing only 795g. The drone also sports front LEDs and aircraft arm lights with customisable colour that allows the pilot to make their aircraft as unique as they want to.

3 Flight Modes
3 intuitive flight modes are available to aid you whether you are a seasoned FPV pilot or a complete beginner.
- S Mode – (Simple) Get the dynamic look of FPV footage easily in S mode. This hybrid flight mode combines the freedom of flying manually with the simplified controls of previous DJI drones.
- N Mode – (New) Ideal for new users, N mode offers immersive flight with traditional drone flight controls along with DJI safety features like obstacle sensing.
- M Mode – (Manual) Fly in M mode for complete, limitless control and the full FPV flight experience. Customise parameters and enjoy flight and footage unlike anything else.
Advanced Safety Features
The drone is packed full of safety features so that you can fly with peace of mind. An auxiliary bottom light, Smart Return to Home (RTH), Low Battery RTH, and forward and downward obstacle sensing all help ensure a safe flight, even at high speeds.
Emergency Brake and Hover
The DJI FPV drone comes with an emergency brake and hover feature so that you can remain in complete control regardless of the mode you are flying in. Simply press this button on the remote controller and the aircraft will stop and hover stably within a few seconds.
Video Capabilities
Record 4K/60fps video at up to 120Mbps, allowing you to capture all the exhilarating flight footage in crisp detail. Thanks to the Rocksteady EIS technology and distortion correction all your footage will be ultra-smooth no matter how dynamic your manoeuvres get.
Crystal Clear Real-Time Video Transmission
The DJI O3 (OcuSync 3.0) Transmission System has been adapted to match the unique needs of the DJI FPV allowing you to enjoy crystal-clear real-time video transmission, even at distances of up to 10km with Video Transmission Latency getting as low as 28ms*.
*In 810p/120fps Smooth mode, the video transmission latency is lower than 28ms; in 810p/60fps HD mode, the video transmission latency is lower than 40ms.
Auto-Switching for Seamless Signal
The drone is capable of auto-switching between 2.4 and 5.8GHz* frequencies and provides a video transmission bitrate of up to 50 Mbps** that significantly reduces stutter and compression artefacts. High-gain antennas on the aircraft include three transmitters and four receivers to enhance the signal, resulting in a stable, reliable video feed.
* If the signal is disconnected, DJI FPV will [RSN1] automatically enable fail-safe RTH.
**The highest video transmission bitrate is 50 Mbps. Measured in an open, outdoor environment with no obstacles or interference.
Additional Layers of Safety
Another addition to the DJI FPV is the built-in Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast ADS-B). This will allow you to fly with even greater confidence as the system receives flight location information of manned aircraft in your area and will send warnings on the Goggles V2 (sold separately), providing enough time to avoid any manned aircraft nearby.
Modular Design
Making repairs or replacing parts is even more convenient due to the aircraft’s modular design. The gimbal camera, landing gear, and top shell are all modular and easily replaceable. DJI Care Refresh is also available offering coverage for a wide range of damage and giving your greater peace of mind as you fly*.

Audience Mode
Share your viewing experience as you fly by setting other DJI FPV Goggles V2 units (sold separately) to the aircraft channel and selecting Audience Mode.
DJI Fly App
The DJI Fly App can display the live view from the goggles on a smartphone when connected via cable*. Other features of the DJI Fly App include the ability to edit and share your footage to social media with just a few taps. You can also discover popular aerial photography spots near you with the Fly Spots** feature.
*This function will be available in a future firmware update. Transmitted images from the goggles to the app can be sent to a smartphone via cable (USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to lightning).
**The Fly Spots feature is currently available only in Mainland China. All flight locations displayed by the Fly Spots feature are based on voluntarily-shared location tags from SkyPixel users. DJI never collects or shares user data without user consent. Always check and follow the applicable rules wherever you fly.
DJI Virtual Flight App
Practice flying in lifelike, simulated scenarios before entering the real world. Simply connect the DJI FPV Goggles V2 and remote controller (sold separately), and you’re ready to master flight in a risk-free virtual environment. The DJI Flight app is currently only supported by iOS devices.

FAQs
Do I need to register my drone?
Yes, you will need to register this drone. Any drone exceeding 250g will need to be registered. If you require more information for this then please visit the CAA’s DMARES website. If you have already registered and have an Operator ID, ensure this is attached to your drone.
Where can I fly in the UK?
If you have not taken a drone training course you will have to adhere to the rules of the Open Category’s A3 subcategory (fly far from people).
- No uninvolved people present within the area of flight;
- No flight within 150m horizontally of residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational areas.
If you would like more freedom with your flying it is best to take a drone training course.
Training options
- A2 CofC
- An A2 CofC allows operations in the A2 subcategory (fly near to people) of the Open Category. This permits flights up to 50m horizontally from uninvolved people. This is allowed during the Transitional Period, which runs in the UK until December 31, 2022.
- GVC
- For operations that pose a greater risk than the Open Category or fall outside the Open Category perimeters, a GVC is required to apply for an Operational Authorisation to fly in the Specific Category.
Can I use this drone commercially?
Yes. Having an A2 CofC allows you to operate commercially. But the A2 CofC is not specifically commercial permission; it is a competency that permits flights in the A2 subcategory, regardless of recreational or commercial flying.
You can fly commercially in the Open Category without an A2 CofC, but your operations will be restricted to the conditions of the A3 subcategory.
The GVC allows you to apply for an Operational Authorisation, which has replaced the Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO), to fly in the Specific Category - geared towards enterprise drone pilots and for operations outside the remit of the Open Category.
