5.4K Video Capability and O3 Transmission
Shoot at 5.4K/30fps, 4K/60fps or 1080p/120fps, the Air 2S is the most powerful drone that DJI have made so far. Equipped with large 2.4μm pixels the Air 2S captures authentic colour tones that will amaze.
The Air 2S also features DJI’s most advanced O3 (OcuSync 3.0) image transmission technology. For a maximum 8km transmit ultra-smooth, clear and reliable 1080p video whenever you fly. Feed is transmitted via 2.⅘.8 GHz Dual-Frequency and 4 Antennas.
RAW Images
The Air 2S features RAW shooting capabilities that capture every dot of information. Even when lighting conditions are poor or complex, RAW formatted images make post-processing a breeze, allowing creators to get more creative and produce the images that they need.
Intelligent HDR
Intelligent HDR technology will automatically merge multiple shots to increase the dynamic range of images. Even on a grey day images will be ready for publishing without the need for post-processing thanks to the intelligent HDR, taking images that compliment both the highlights and the shadows and merging them together creates images with even greater depth.

Introducing New MasterShots
MasterShots is the brand new evolution of QuickShots. It is an advanced, autonomous setting that will create the best shot from any location with just one tap. All you need to do is select the subject and then Air 2S will do the rest. Executing ten different manoeuvres in sequence, keeping your selected subject center frame and then generating a short cinematic video afterwards ready to share straight away.
Next Generation FocusTrack
FocusTrack features three new flight modes: Spotlight 2.0, ActiveTrack 4.0 and Point of Interest 3.0. Making the following or circling of your subject the easiest it has ever been.
Spotlight 2.0 - The camera stays centered on a subject as you fly in a spiral or take close-up shots. Take clear shots at a safe distance with the zoom function.
ActiveTrack 4.0 - Smoothly follow your subject while autonomously avoiding obstacles. Even if the subject is momentarily lost, you can quickly resume tracking during flight.
Point of Interest 3.0 - Easily take a perfectly circular shot while keeping your subject centered.
Intelligent Flight
The DJI Air 2S has the ability to perceive its surroundings in four directions: up, down, forward and backward. Further improved algorithms of the Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS 4.0) allow the drone to fly autonomously with and avoid obstacles in more complex scenarios and even at high speeds.
Safe Flight
Fly with confidence that your experience will be safe with the industry-leading AirSense safety system. The Air 2S receives Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) flight location information from planes and helicopters in your area. The ADS-B signals display on a map and provide audio and visual alerts on the DJI Fly App to help you keep your drone at a safe distance from the aircraft.

Do I need to register my drone?
Yes, you will need to register this drone. Any drone exceeding 250g will need to be registered. If you require more information for this then please visit the CAA’s DMARES website. If you have already registered and have an Operator ID, ensure this is attached to your drone.
Where can I fly in the UK?
If you have not taken a drone training course you will have to adhere to the rules of the Open Category’s A3 subcategory (fly far from people).
- No uninvolved people present within the area of flight;
- No flight within 150m horizontally of residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational areas.
If you would like more freedom with your flying it is best to take a drone training course.
Training options
- A2 CofC
- An A2 CofC allows operations in the A2 subcategory (fly near to people) of the Open Category. This permits flights up to 50m horizontally from uninvolved people. This is allowed during the Transitional Period, which runs in the UK until December 31, 2022.
- GVC
- For operations which pose a greater risk than the Open Category or fall outside the Open Category perimetres, a GVC is required to apply for an Operational Authorisation to fly in the Specific Category.
Can I use this drone commerically?
Yes. Having an A2 CofC allows you to operate commercially. But the A2 CofC is not specifically a commercial permission; it is a competency which permits flights in the A2 subcategory, regardless of recreational or commercial flying.
You can fly commercially in the Open Category without an A2 CofC, but your operations will be restricted to the conditions of the A3 subcategory.
The GVC allows you to apply for an Operational Authorisation, which has replaced the Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO), to fly in the Specific Category - geared towards enterprise drone pilots and for operations outside the remit of the Open Category.
