A classic updated for the 21st Century
The NexStar 4SE is a reimagining of the classic Celestron 8 which revolutionized amateur astronomy in the 1970’s. The 4SE features the same iconic “orange tube” design but has been updated with all of the latest features to ensure that the user receives the best stargazing experience whether they be an amateur or experienced observer.
Outstanding detail
The 4SE boasts a 4 inch primary mirror that produces enough light-gathering ability to be able to observe the best that the solar system has to offer. You will be able to clearly examine the likes of Saturn’s rings, the cloud bands and Great Red Spot of Jupiter as well as features of the Moon. The 4SE is also capable of viewing deep sky objects. You can observe hundreds of pinpoint stars in the Hercules Globular Cluster, the spiral arms of the Whirlpool Galaxy, and more.

The Nexstar 4SE has been designed so that it is quick and easy to set up thanks to its unique, patented single fork arm design and sturdy steel tripod which can all be broken down into separate components for easy transport and quick assembly.

The telescope boasts a sturdy construction, thanks to its high-quality components, which allows the pointing and tracking accuracy needed for you to observe and follow your favorite targets with the simple press of a button. You can use the included Nexstar+ hand control to help you locate over 40,000 celestial objects, or you can take a Sky Tour that lets the 4SE show the best objects currently visible.

The Nexstar 4SE is packed full of advanced features that makes it compatible with all of the latest high-tech gadgets that you are currently using. For example, you can gain GPS functionality with SkySync* or add automatic alignment functionality with StarSense AutoAlign*.

The 4SE is also the perfect choice if you are interested in astroimaging. Its built-in wedge allows you to track long exposures. The telescope is Fastar-compatible to allow for ultra-fast, wide field imaging. Pair this with a Skyris camera or a DSLR and you are ready to go. Please be aware that you will need to purchase the Celestron T-Adapater for NexStar 4SE as well as the relevant T-ring for your camera such as the Canon EOS T-Ring or Nikon T-Ring.

Solar Warning
- Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
