Everything you need to get started
The 127SLT comes with everything you need to start your astronomy journey right away. The telescope can track objects as they move through the night sky thanks to its single fork arm altazimuth mount which sits on a pre-assembled, adjustable steel tripod. The telescope also comes with the NexStar+ computerized hand control, a 127mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optical tube, as well as accessories.
Track the stars at the push of a button
Included in the kit is the NexStar+ Hand Control. This is a computerized controller that allows you to automatically hone in on any of 40,000 celestial objects with the simple push of a button. More than 600 galaxies, 300 clusters and dozens of beautiful binary stars are included in its database so you can easily pinpoint your desired object.
There is also a SkyTour feature that will produce a list of the best celestial objects that are currently visible all based on your exact time and location.
Easy alignment
The 127SLT is easy to set up and use thanks to the SkyAlign technology. Simply point the scope at any three bright objects in the sky and it will triangulate its position of all other objects in the sky automatically.
Battery powered
The telescope is powered by 8 AA batteries (not included) or by a PowerTank portable battery (sold separately) so that you can use it anywhere. The internal battery compartment provides power to the high precision servo motors for rigid low-vibration performance while eliminating cord wrap issues associated with external battery packs.
Quick centring of objects
Included with the telescope is a StarPointer red dot finderscope that allows you to quickly centre an object, a star diagonal that provides a right-side-up view and a more comfortable viewing angle when looking up at the sky, as well as two eyepieces (25mm and 9mm). The two eyepieces are different magnifications for low- or high-powered observing.
Compatible with high-tech accessories
The Nexstar 127SLT is compatible with all of Celestron’s latest accessories such as StarSense AutoAlign*, SkyPortal WiFi module*, and PowerTank Lithium*.
*All of these items are sold separately

Solar Warning:
- Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
- Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
- Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
