The Canon RF 100-300mm f2.8L IS USM is a compact and lightweight telephoto lens, ideal for sports and wildlife photography as well as portraiture and red carpet events. The lens has a fast, constant aperture of f2.8 allowing you to produce beautiful bokeh, 5.5 stops of optical IS (up to 6 stops with bodies featuring ibis) as well as fast AF so that you always get the shot.

Up to 6 Stops of IS
The Canon RF 100-300mm can produce image stabilisation up to 5.5 stops for superior image quality. This can be increased up to 6 stops when the lens is mounted onto a compatible Canon camera with in-built stabilisation. This is great news for handheld photographers and videographers.
Close the Distance
The RF 100-300mm is not just for shooting at a distance. Thanks to a minimum focus distance of 1.8m and a maximum magnification of 0.16x, you can capture all of the details of your subject at a closer range.
High Performance Optics
The lens consists of 23 elements in 18 groups, including 4 ultra-low dispersion lenses, 2 fluorite lenses and 1 glass moulded aspherical lens. A Super Spectra Coating has been applied to the lens elements to create exceptional sharpness in every shot by reducing the appearance of flare and ghosting.
Design & Build
The RF 100-300mm weighs in at 2590g and measures 323.4mm in length, making it very lightweight and portable considering its focal length. The filter diameter is 112mm.
Weather Sealed
The RF 100-300mm has been weather sealed to match Canon’s super telephoto L series lenses. It also features a Heat Shield white coating to protect the lens in extremely hot conditions.
One Step Beyond
You can combine the RF 100-300mm with the Canon RF 2.0x and Canon RF 1.4x extenders. You can achieve focal lengths of 140-420mm with the 1.4x and an incredible 200-600mm when combined with the 2.0x. But that’s not all. If you use the lens with an APS-C body with an extender attached the focal length can be increased to 224-672mm or 320-960mm.
