Benro Tortoise Short Centre Column #0
Compatible with the Benro Tortoise Tripods, this Centre Column extends the working height of the tripod between 19.6cm and 40cm. It is constructed out of carbon fibre at the same grade as the Tortoise range, ensuring that as you add height no quality is sacrificed.
Easy Set-Up
Simply remove the head from your tripod and attach the 3-section column. The 3/8" female thread attaches to the tripod top thread and the 3/8" male thread then allows the tripod head to be re-attached. To adjust the height simply twist the sections to extend up to 40cm and lock into place.
Why do the Tortoise Tripods come without a central column?
The removal of the central column is to improve the manoeuvrability and stability of the tripod. Without the column the tripod can be adjusted to a wide range of positions and the camera is positioned at a lower centre of gravity which reduces camera shake. There are some scenarios however where the additional height is required and that is where this central column is the ideal solution for photographers and videographers.
Same Pay Load, Extra Height
The additional height of 19.6cm to 40cm does not impact the maximum payload that the tripod can withstand. This is due to the column being made out of the same carbon fibre material as the Tortoise range.
