Atomos Shogun Classic
The Atomos Shogun Classic is a professional on-camera recording monitor that offers up to DCI 4K raw recording and HDMI and 12/6/3G-SDI inputs/outputs. Other features include a 7” screen, multi-camera touch screen switching, perfect exposure and colour, and Dolby Vision, all while remaining user-friendly.
Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW Recording and Playback
The Atomos Shogun Classic has been designed with the professional in mind. The 7” screen offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 3000 nits for an exceptional playback experience. This gives you the ability to monitor every pixel of SDR or HDR as it’s captured. You can record up to 5.7K Apple ProRes RAW* or 4K Apple ProRes directly onto a hard drive and can even shoot RAW at high frame rates up to HDp240**.

Multi-Camera Touch Screen Switching
The Shogun Classic allows you to fully take advantage of 4 x SDI inputs for portable, quad-view live switching for multi-camera shoots. You can record up to four 1080p60 streams at the same time as separate ISOs that you can then cue and switch in real time with a simple touch of the screen. You can also display the mixed output (via HDMI or SDI) live on set and switch the feed for live streaming.
You can also add a mixed analogue feed and the audio from the camera via an XLR breakout cable. The program stream always records the analogue feed and switches between audio inputs for on-camera audio to match the switched feed.
Perfect Exposure and Colour
The Shogun Classic ensures that you see what the camera sensor is capturing which allows you to make better decisions on set. You can also control custom 3D LUTs, false colour profiles, adjustable focus peaking and movable 1:1 and 2:1 pixel magnification as well as RGB parade and vectorscopes to ensure you are capturing perfect colours.
Works Well With Others
The Atomos Shogun Classic works well with practically any camera. The ProRes RAW recording capabilities make it ideal for Cine cameras while bringing new life to older cameras, giving them the ability to capture cinematic RAW with advanced features like 4Kp60 and 2Kp240 RAW capture.
You can even use the Shogun Classic with your DSLR or Mirrorless camera via HDMI to get up to 4Kp60 Apple ProRes and AVID DNx codecs for easy editing and archival quality.
Better Post-Production
The Shogun Classic gives you the ability to capture RAW directly from the camera’s sensor and preserves the unprocessed image so that you have even more options in post-processing. You also have the option to apply ProRes compression technology for smaller RAW formats that are easier to import, edit and grade faster in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer.
Dolby Vision
You can deliver your content via a Dolby Vision live HDMI out, in real-time, from any HDR camera to a compatible Dolby Vision HDR TV or monitor so that you can view your video in maximum brightness and colour detail. This allows you to adjust exposure and lighting on the go for an even faster post-production experience.

The Shogun Classic is packed full of user-friendly features to aid your filmmaking process.
This includes;
Touch screen operation - One-touch operation grants you access to adjust scopes, exposure, zoom, calibration and focus tools with ease.
Instant playback & review - You can effortlessly access playback and review rushes on-set, either on-screen or out to any Dolby Vision capable TV or monitor. You can also view the footage in slow motion to give you an even more detailed frame-by-frame analysis.
Shot tagging - You can metadata tag your footage as you are filming to aid in a more efficient post-production workflow.
Balanced audio - You can connect 48V stereo mics with an XLR breakout cable for outstanding audio. You can select mic or line input levels and record up to 12 channels of digital audio from HDMI or SDI and monitor via the 3.5mm headphone jack.
High speed connections - You can cross convert between HDMI 2.0 and 1.5G/3G/6G/12G single link SDI or Dual/Quad Link in almost any combination, eliminating the need for specialist converters.
Quad SDI & HDMI 2.0 In/Out - Connect any SDI or HDMI device for monitoring and recording. Cross-convert between HDMI 2.0 and 1.5G/3G/6G/12G/Quadlink SDI without specialist converters.
