The Shinobi 7 puts you in full control by using the monitor to control camera settings including shutter, white balance and focus, plus many more. Bright and colourful display
Enjoy the bright and colourful 7” display, larger than the original Shinobi, see more of your work. It is calibrated to a peak brightness of 2200Nits so that even in bright daylight the monitor is still viewable. It is an ideal monitor for directors, focus pullers, program/preview video switchers or vloggers presenting to the camera.
Camera controls at the fingertips
The Shinobi 7 grants access to all the most important features on your camera through an intuitive touchscreen. Control aspects such as focus, iris, white balance, shutter angle and ND directly from the monitor. Using an optional Atomos USB-C to serial cable you can even control the entire menu of Z Cam E2 series cameras.
HDR in the field
View your work in stunning 7+ stops of dynamic range with real-time footage from Log/PG/HGL signals. This unique monitor simplifies the complexities of shooting Log and HDR by displaying the image directly in front of you as it happens. Helping you replicate post-production workflows at the moment it matters most – out in the field.
Built-In 3D LUT Box
Use your own custom LUT setups to feed downstream or via a live feed. The Shinobi 7 can load up to 8 custom LUTs via the SD card slot which you can then switch between instantly, maintaining creative intent at all times.
The Best of Atomos 10
The Shinobi 7 takes inspiration from all the best features of the AtomOS10 platform and is packed with an extensive suite of scopes and simple one-touch operations to make your life easier. Function improvements include monitoring tools for focus, plus the following framing and exposure tools: Focus Peaking, Zoom in 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1, Zebra, False Colour, Cine Social Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB Parade, Vectorscope, and Anamorphic De-Squeeze.
Atomos ‘Analysis’ Mode
Make full use of the monitor with the option to display waveform, histogram and vectorscopes simultaneously whilst monitoring the main image. View the image with all the information or switch between different modes with a single touch to ensure complete control of your image.
Continuous Power
Enjoy continuous power to the monitor with the dual battery slots that allow easy hot-swapping. Alternatively use the dedicated locking DC jack input for connection to mains power, or combined with a DC to D-Tap cable for power from block batteries.
Pro I/O and Cross Conversion
Made to fit any production the Shinobi 7 allows for easy cross conversion for HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI transmission. With built-in cross conversion and 4K to HD down-conversion, you can easily bring HDMI cameras into your SDI workflows without the need for additional converters.
Factory and User Calibration
The Shinobi 7 comes factory calibrated for Rec.709 display, however, it also supports user calibration. Users can calibrate the monitor themselves with X-Rite’s i1DisplayPro/Plus and the free Atomos Calibration software that automates the calibration of the screen to ensure accurate and reliable HDR and Rec.709 monitoring.

What is the battery length?
Running 7800mAh a single NPF battery is up to 3 hours. However thanks to the dual battery dock, fully-charged batteries can be hot-swapped during recording meaning that power is continuous.
How does the Shinobi 7 differ from the original Shinobi?
Whilst the Shinobi 7 maintains many functions of the original monitor, the 7 features further improvements. One of the main differences is the 7” monitor size compared to the Shinobi’s 5” display. The Shinobi 7 also features dual battery slots for hot-swapping, a brighter HDR rating, HDMI to SDI cross conversion and multiple in-built ports.
