Ricoh Theta V
RICOH have been at the forefront of portable, handheld 360 degree video and photo technology. The original Theta was launched back in 2013 and brought 360 degree video capabilites in such a small compact platform to the mass market, now in 2017 we have the RICOH Theta V.
The Theta V brings with it 4k video, before never featured on a Theta model. We also have 4K livestreaming straight from the device to where it can be viewed on various platforms and now is further enhanced with 360 spatial audio that gives the user a fully immersive VR experience like never experienced before. New high-speed data transfer on-board that allows up to 10 times faster file transfer when compared to previous models.

High Quality, Increased Adaptability
The Ricoh Theta V has had an overhaul on its still image functions. Now with an increased max shutter speed of 1/25000 sec the applications for the camera have been greatly increased, whether being used to capture action sports or captruing those priceless family moment the Theta V won't miss a moment. A new max ISO of 3200 can be achieved when used in manual mode to allow the user to achieve shots in lower light situatuions, once again broadening the possibilites that the Theta V can be used for.
Theta V now packs 4K video into its small frame, Being able to shoot full 4K video at 30fps this improvement over previous models enhances and creates more realistic VR spherical video. Better image quality is seen instantly but the Theta V also shows better sense of depth and coloring is impressively improved.
4K video live streaming is also supported in the Theta V, being able to instantaneously transmit live VR video and audio to social media paths such as Facebook and Youtube means the possibilities for professional users at events have been dramatically increased.
The Theta V is still fully capable of sending images/video straight to the Theta app where images can then be processed and shared via social media or simply enjoyed by friends and family on the device.

360 Spatial Audio Capture
The RICOH Theta V now has increased audio capturing capabilities. The Theta V now has 4 in-built microphones that allow the device to capture multi directional audio for a more immersive user experience. Conventional 360 degree audio was captured in a Monaural format, now the Theta V captures the audio in a 360 spatial audio format which gives not just a visual VR experience but now VR through audio alongside the video.
With the spatial audio being captured and porocessed within the body of the Theta V it gives the user the possibility to hear and see the video and audio tracks straight on there device, this once again improves the VR experience as it can be achieved so effortlessly.
When the Theta V is combined with the optional TA-1 Microphone the Spatial audio is further improved with a greater band of frequency capture aswell as richer, more natural tones that really give the experience a true to sound feel.

Theta Remote Playback
Theta V can now be used to wirelessly display and control 360 degree content on a compatibility TV. The process is all done within the Theta itself, all that is required is a compatible wireless display adaptor. This then allows the user to stream photo and video content to their TV, with the Theta V becoming the remote.
The Theta V becomes the remote for viewing the Photos and video on the TV, this is achieved by using the Theta V like a joystick. The shutter button becomes the select button and then through motion control you can select the image or video you want ot play and then through movmements can pan the view around the image or video.
