Canon EOS 6D Mark II Body Only
Your next creative steps in photographyPortrait photographers will love the shallow depth-of-field that the EOS 6D Mark II’s full-frame sensor delivers, and its ability to capture momentary expressions at 6.5 frames per second. When shooting landscapes, the camera’s 26.2-megapixel sensor captures images packed with detail and dynamic range, for images that exude life-like depth and clarity. |
The full-frame advantage
With its full-frame 26.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor, the EOS 6D Mark II is built from the ground up to deliver professional results.
-
Dynamic rangeThe EOS 6D Mark II’s latest CMOS sensor delivers a wide dynamic range, preserving detail in bright highlights and dark shadows for an authentic look and feel. Generous exposure latitude lets you do more with your files in post-production.
-
Low noise in dark conditionsImages shot in dark conditions are low in noise and high in clarity – work with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 40,000 (extends to ISO 102,400). The EOS 6D Mark II’s CMOS sensor capture as much light as possible, and its DIGIC 7 processor minimises artefacts like digital noise.
-
Next level image processingBuilt-in Lens Aberration Correction improves optical performance by compensating for factors like diffraction, distortion and chromatic aberration. The result is an image that’s visibly superior straight from the camera.
-
The full-frame EOS 6D Mark II produces inherently shallower depth of field than cameras with smaller sensors, making it a great tool for professional portraiture. Isolate a pin-sharp subject against a soft background, and try shooting with unique wide-aperture lenses, like the EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM, for very shallow-focus effects.
Powerful portraits
Precision focusing for critical sharpnessAdvanced autofocus uses 45 cross-type points to focus with pin-point accuracy, even in conditions as dark as moonlight. Shoot with confidence when working with shallow depth of field, and track dynamic subjects as they move around the frame. |
Precision Focusing
Whether you’re shooting studio portraits using live view, or using the viewfinder to watch for a decisive moment, the EOS 6D Mark II focuses quickly and accurately for pin-sharp results.
-
Each of the EOS 6D Mark II's 45 AF points is cross type in nature, for extra sensitivity and accuracy. A double cross type point at the centre focuses precisely even under moonlight (-3 EV), so you can be confident of critical sharpness when it matters most.
Focus with confidence, even in low light
This sensitivity also makes autofocus possible (up to 27 points) with maximum apertures as small as f/8 – useful when using super-telephoto lenses with teleconverters, for instance.
-
The EOS 6D Mark II’s 45 cross-type AF points are spread out across the viewfinder in a wide-area pattern, and focus with pin-point accuracy. Keeping moving objects sharp when you’re covering busy events or fast-moving action, even when shooting at 6.5 frames per second.
45 point wide-area focusing & 6.5 fps continuous shooting
-
When shooting in Live View mode, using the EOS 6D Mark II’s Vari-Angle screen, Dual Pixel CMOS AF focuses with breath-taking speed and accuracy. Tap to select an object, which will be tracked and kept in sharp focus as it moves around the frame.
Fast focusing with live view too
-
The EOS 6D Mark II uses Bluetooth® to make a Wi-Fi connection with your smart device** easy to set up. Browse and select images on your device’s screen, then share them with friends. Your device can be used as a remote camera control too – including live view.
Designed to work hand-in-hand with your smart devices
-
Shoot superb quality Full HD movies, with the shallow depth-of-field look that is characteristic of professional video. Dual Pixel CMOS AF adjusts smoothly to keep moving objects sharp without distracting, abrupt changes in focus, and a built-in 5-axis Digital Stabilizer smoothes out unwanted camera movement.
Cinematic Full HD movies
4K time-lapse movies can be created in camera, capturing the movement of slowly changing scenes in incredible detail.
-
The EOS 6D Mark II’s large pentaprism viewfinder shows a remarkably clear view of the world, letting you forge natural relationships with your subjects and shoot more instinctively.
Your window on the world
-
It’s easy to shoot from low-down angles or above the heads of large grounds, thanks to the EOS 6D Mark II’s Vari-Angle screen, which flips out and rotates in either direction. Try using it at waist level for more natural portraits.
