Sue Flood - South Georgia
January 2014 - South Georgia
In early January I spent time reviewing some more of my images from my six week trip on board "Ocean Diamond” to South Georgia, the Falklands and the Antarctic, where I was the Photographer in Residence with Quark Expeditions.
I’ve attached a few more of my favourite images here. All of these were taken with my Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS II USM and Canon EOS 5D Mark III Body, and I used my Canon extender EF 2x III teleconverter for the iceberg shot.
If you don’t already use one, I would highly recommend a decent tripod. I love my Gitzo Ocean Traveler GK1582OT Tripod when using my Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS II USM lens on my Canon EOS 5D Mark III Body. . However, the Canon EF 300mm f2.8L IS II USM is such a fast lens that I can also use it hand-held from a boat or vehicle.
In January I also decided that I would take the plunge and purchase a Canon EOS 6D Body which has had some fabulous reviews so look forward to some images from my lovely new camera!
