April 2014 - Portrait
This April, I spent a wonderful week in the Oxfordshire countryside, photographing for a very exciting private commission on a beautiful estate, which is under wraps for now. I had my first experience with the Canon MPE65 macro lens. It is AMAZING! Perfect for photographing stunning details on flowers and insects and a very interesting change from the long-lens work that I am used to.
Last April I was in Santa Monica, staying with my friends Judith Owen and her husband Harry Shearer, and (completely unplanned!) ended up shooting the cover shots and PR pics for Judith's new album. A lovely change from wildlife and very proud to see my images everywhere promoting her (fabulous!) album “Ebb and Flow”. I used my Canon EOS 5D Mark III Body and Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS USM Lens (succeeded by the Canon EF 24-105mm f4L IS II USM Lens) for some interior shots and on the beach, in a variety of styles as Judith wanted some slo-mo shots.
