Key Features of the Used Sony A6400 with Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Zoom Lens

The big headline on the launch of the Alpha A6400 is Sony's claim to the World's Fastest (0.02second) Auto Focus acquisition. Combined with this, are features like 425 phase detection and contrast detection AF points that cover approx 84% image area.

Unrivalled AF performance from 425 phase-detection AF points combined with contrast-detection; will give you a mindblowing - world's fastest 0.02-sec speed
Accurate focusing, even in darker situations-with the latest in Sony's algorithms, the camera's AF limit has been reduced to operate as low as EV-2 when AF-S mode is active.
Eye AF enables you to select and track your subject's eye. Perfect for producing detailed portrait photographs.
Autofocus with realtime tracking. If you're tracking a fast subject, the camera will use the latest algorithm technology to detect information on your subject like colour and pattern to track the subject smoothly.

What imaging capabilities does the Sony A6400 Have?

Working with Sony's latest imaging processor, BIONZ X; the A6400 has a 24.2 Megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS imaging sensor; giving an improved performance when shooting at high ISO and enabling 4k video production. For stills and movies, the camera offers ISO ranges as high as  ISO 32000. This range is then extended up to ISO 102400 for producing stills, providing fantastic levels of noise reduction in medium and high sensitivity scenes.

How fast is the A6400?

High-Speed Continuous shooting enables the photographer to shoot up to 11 frames per second on the mechanical shutter, while silent shooting is possible at 8fps with continuous AF/AE tracking.

What is Sony Real-Time Tracking Mode?

Making its debut on the A6400, Sony's Real Time Tracking is a new mode which utilises the advanced capabilities of the cameras including the latest AI to accurately detect subjects and accurately capture your images.

Is the A6400 camera good for portrait photography?

Eye Autofocus from Sony will allow you to track and lock the focus onto your subject's eyes, making portrait photography almost effortless. The camera will automatically detect your subject's eyes and activates the Eye AF mode when the user half-presses the shutter button. This works across all modes and when in AF-C or AF-A, the photographer can easily select a preferred eye (left or right) on the subject to maintain as a focusing point. Making the camera also great for wildlife, Eye AF support for animals has been scheduled to arrive for the Summer of 2019 (via a system software update).

Is the A6400 a good camera for video and vlogging?

With a 180-degree, full tilt LCD touchscreen - enabling self-recording - this camera is not only great for general video production but also the perfect tool for Vloggers.

With High-Resolution 4K recording at 30FPS and full pixel readout with no pixel binning and the headlining autofocus speeds, this camera would be a great asset for anyone looking to buy a compact system camera to produce 4K videos.

Easy focusing when shooting video gives you stability and speed thanks to Sony's Fast Hybrid AF - keeping your subject in a smoother flow of focus in most scenes - the camera will also track if the frame is blocked by passing objects.

You can also produce a stunning time-lapse video with the interval recording features. Intervals can be set from 1 to 60 seconds and you can capture up to 9,999 frames.  The sensitivity of AE tracking can also be adjusted during shooting, reducing changes in exposure while shooting.
