The Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC is a manual focus, macro, prime lens designed for full-frame cameras. Delivering sharp images with vibrant colours and a maximum close-up magnification of 1:1, this lens is a must for macro shooting as well as landscapes and portraits.
Design & Build
The 100mm f2.8 lens has been constructed of 15 lenses in 12 groups, including a high refractive lens (HR) and extra low dispersion lens (ED) to minimise colour aberration and unnecessary light dispersion in order to produce high-resolution images.
The 9 aperture blades produce excellent bokeh and an 18-ray starlight effect. This lens also produces images with the classic, well-saturated colours we have come to expect from Samyang lenses while flare is controlled by Samyang’s ultra-multi-coating (UMC) technology.
Perfect for Macro Photography
The 100mm f2.8 is also great for getting up close to your subject thanks to its minimum focusing distance of just 0.30m. Perfect for intimate portraits and detailed macro work.
