Join Canon and Wild Arena experts as they guide you through capturing stunning close-up shots of nature's finest details.
Leading the day’s session is David Southard from Wild Arena, a seasoned pro in wildlife and macro photography. David will set up an exciting, interactive shooting station featuring fascinating critters to inspire creativity. He’ll walk you through macro shooting techniques, answer your questions and offer personalized tips. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm, so feel free to drop in anytime for demonstrations, expert advice, and inspiration!
Canon experts will be on hand all day to answer your questions and offer guidance.
Event Highlights
Meet David Southard & Wild Arena
David has worked in the photographic industry for over 40 years and has always been involved in taking pictures. After studying photography at college, he started taking image-making seriously in 1986, when working as an assistant cameraman for a specialist wildlife filmmaker. During this time, he concentrated on technical macro work including time-lapse and studio lighting. He co-founded the Wild Arena business in 2003, and they have delivered high-quality training, events and workshops for over 20 years. David has shot with Canon cameras for many decades and now uses a range of R series bodies and lenses.
They'll bring incredible animals for you to photograph in a uniquely crafted setup, perfect for capturing stunning shots.

Event Schedule
In Depth 15-minute workshops!
A series of 15-minute workshops will run throughout the day, offering an in-depth look at creating the perfect macro setup. Sessions are scheduled at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, and 14:00.
Grab your unique Macro shots while you can!
10:00 -16:00: Wild Arena will be available throughout the day. David will be on hand to demonstrate macro ideas and techniques, including in-camera focus stacking and lighting.
