Swarovski DG 8x25 Digital Guide - Ex-Demo
The dG from Swarovski has introduced a new level of technology to birdwatching and nature viewing. This 8x25 Long Range optical device lets the user view their subject, then document and share their sightings through WiFi and Smart Device connectivity.
This is an open box item but is in full working order, as new, and comes with a 12-month warranty.
Learning on the go
Discover more information on your sightings on the spot. Simply press a button, and your sighting will be sent to your smart device. You can then use the Merlin Bird ID app or the dG Mammals app to identify and access information on the bird or mammal in front of you.
Capture memories
A built-in 13-megapixel camera allows you to capture your sightings. A smooth connection to your device allows you to track your spottings. This is done through the Swarovski dG app allowing you to then share online and record your memories.
Share your adventure
The integrated hotspot allows you to live-stream your view to your travelling companions. As well as this, you can share straight to social media allowing you to take other enthusiasts from around the world on your journey through nature.
What apps are available on the Swarovski dG?
Swarovski dG app
The dG app has many useful functions for getting the most from the device. It can create a Wi-Fi hotspot to connect your smart device to the dG. You can also view, track and capture your encounter. It will store the videos and images in the app - which can be shared on social media, email and beyond.
Merlin Bird ID app
Identify birds with the Merlin Bird ID app. Simply capture images with ease on your dG, then scan the image with the app to discover more about the bird you've just spotted.
dG Mammals app
For the identification of Mammals spotted with your DG. Easy connection means you can quickly identify and learn more about your sightings.

The app is available on current models of smartphones which have iOS 11 and Android 5.0. Compatibility can be checked in the Apple app and Google Play stores.

It is highly dust, dirt and water-resistant, giving you peace of mind. A 2600 mAh Lithium-Ion battery will allow for up to 6 hours use depending on the functions used.
